3. Biography
Charles Ormiston is the founding partner of Bain Company’s
Singapore office, currently serving as Chairman of SE Asia.
Recognised within Bain as a strategic thinker, Mr. Ormiston has
been elected to the firm’s world-wide management committee, co-
led a comprehensive review of Bain Company’s global strategy
and supported the opening of several new offices in developing
markets.
Mr. Ormiston works with senior executives and
government officials on major change programmes. His track
record spans a broad range of industries including
consumer products, technology, telecommunications, logistics, and
government institutions. Having first located to Singapore in 1986,
he is a widely acknowledged expert on the strategy, operational and

Mr. Ormiston earned an MBA with high distinction from Harvard
Business School, where he was named a Baker Scholar. He is
Chairman of the Board of Governors of the United World College of
SE Asia, a Trustee of the Singapore University of Technology and
Design (Chairman of the Finance Committee) and a Director of
MediaCorp (Executive Committee).
4. Biography
Roy is currently a Managing Director at RL Capital Management. He
also serves as an Independent Director at ChinaSing Investment
Holdings Ltd, China Flexible Packaging Holdings Ltd, Elektromotive
Group Ltd, Vingroup and an Adjunct Professor in Finance at the SP
Jain School of Global Management.
Prior to RL Capital, Roy was a senior investment banker with
JPMorgan’s Asia real estate investment banking team. Prior to
JPMorgan, Roy held senior banking positions for Lehman Brothers,
Goldman Sachs and Salomon Smith Barney, performing a broad
range of corporate finance, equity research and real estate financings.
Roy is a Chartered Financial Analyst and was formerly a Board
Director of the CFA Society of Japan. He was honored as one of 20
Rising Stars in Real Estate by Institutional Investor in March 2008.

5. Biography
Sue Lin joined HwangDBS Vickers Research in April 2007. She
graduated with a BSc (Econ) Hons (Lond) in 1997 and an MBA from
University Malaya in 2001. Sue Lin started her career as a credit
rating analyst in Rating Agency Malaysia (RAM) in April 2001
where she was part of the Financial Institutions Ratings. She joined
the equity research fraternity in August 2004 with ECM Libra
Securities where she covered sectors including banking, insurance
and oil and gas. Currently, Sue Lin's coverage in the banking sector
includes both Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia banks.

6. Biography
Shrinivas Kowligi is the ASEAN Smarter Cities Leader for IBM
with a focus on Smarter Cities initiatives in the areas of -
Environment and Energy; City Operations and Governance; and
Emergency Response / Disaster Management. Shrinivas has over 17
years of experience in the realm of urban development and civic
services, city planning and governance, infrastructure projects and
project management. Prior to IBM, Shrinivas led the urban
infrastructure practice at PwC India for over 10 years. Besides
consulting, he also possess experience in project formulation and
development, policy advisory and advocacy and business

7. Biography
John has worked at Fortune 50 companies in the Automotive and IT
industries (GM and Dell) for more than 25 years, with assignments
based in the USA, China, Korea and Singapore, most recently as Asia
Regional Lead of Business Excellence. Since working for a former
Toyota manager in the 1990s, John has been leading Strategy and
Lean execution in (15) countries in total, mainly in Asia-Pacific. He
is now the owner of Sustainable Organisational Excellence, providing
consulting, facilitation and training to help clients across Asia
improve their performance.
John endeavors to be a responsible global citizen. Having visited a
total of (45) countries - including the entire Far East of Asia - John is
a published writer in the areas of international travel, global
commentary and Asian culture, and speaks conversational Mandarin
Chinese. He is an active supporter of several non-profit
organizations, including serving as Chairman of the Audit
Mr. John Hamalian Committee.

8. Biography
Mr. Tadahisa Terao is currently the Director of Asia Pacific
Business for Rakuten, a fast-growing e-commerce player with its
base in Japan. Prior to joining Rakuten, he also worked as a
consultant at A.T. Kearney. He graduated with an M.B.A at
INSEAD in 2005.
