“Don’t buy ordinary...”
Jolidon is a Romanian lingerie and swim suit
manufacturer, founded in 1993 in Cluj-Napoca. In
2000, the company founded Jolidon Hungary KFT
in Budapest, then in 2001 Jolidon Italia SRL in
Milano. Later, it extended to France as Jolidon
France SARL, first in Paris, then in Lyon. As of
March 2008, Jolidon operates 103 stores, 65 in
Romania, 35 in Italy, and 3 in Hungary. It also
franchises 10 boutiques in France.

  Started in business in the first years after the Revolution, when he was 24
years old , Gabriel Cirlig gathered some of the money that built Jolidon
from the foreign trips he took with a folk dance group. The idea of
producing underwear came after he gave up another idea of business - a
record label. After 15 years, the company that owns subsidiaries has opened
shops in Hungary, France and Italy, has sales of 40 million Euros and a
portfolio of six brands.
  The first acquisition, which focused on increasing the market share,
covered even the highest local competitor - Argos, a company with over
800 employees and over 60 years of market presence and intimate
underwear and swimwear.
One of the most powerful Romanian brands, which since 1993
until now has not only won the most demanding romance, but has
imposed itself on the European market for products and underwear
and swim suits, targeting strong and independent young women,
does not stop surprising the other brands.
Prize
Jolidon group has participated for the 11th
consecutive time at the most prestigious and
important international event in the field of
underwear: The International Exhibition of
Paris.Over 600 brands launched their autumn-
winter collections from 2009 to 2010 and over
25,000 visitors from around the world,
representing supermarkets and specialized
distribution networks, have been registered. The
three stands of the group amounted to over 340
square Jolidon, Jolidon and Prelude and 18
products were selected by the organizers in the
Showroom Forum of Thessaloniki in Grand Defile
General, to illustrate fashion trends 2009-2010.
Ultralingerie contest, Jolidon group, the only
Romanian company at the event, managed a first:
the jury and the public decided just two trophies to
be awarded to Jolidon Prelude Collection.
