2. The project, which lasts 24 months joins together six schools in six
different European countries with about 18 teachers and almost 180
students.
The students of this project are between 15 and 17 years old. The partner
schools will meet twice a year to exchange our views and ideas about the
project. The common language used will be English.
During the meetings, the students will be living with the families of the
pupils in the hosting country.
3. The last Comenius
project meeting took
place in Romania during
28 April and 2 May
2010. The Romanian
students had the chance
to host a foreign student
and to experience the
differences and
similarities between
cultures.From each
country
(Italy,France,Germany,
Poland and Bulgaria) we
welcomed a team of two
teachers and three
pupils. Meanwhile some
of them already knew
each other due to the
forum, the others were
meeting their partners
for the first time.
4. Amazingly we all hit it off from the
first second we've met and personally I
felt like talking to my old friends
instead of complete strangers. During
the long walks around Cluj we got to
know each other pretty well and one
thing that everyone appreciated was
that we were a united group somewhat
resembling a family. Also we’ve
already planned trips to visit our new
friends in their countries.
8. Even if at first, hosting a stranger didn't seem like a very good
idea, by the end we were all regretting that the meeting lasts only
4 days. Personally, I find this experience extremely helpful:
meanwhile you're making new friends you are also developing
your social skills, which I think nowadays is very important, not
to mention the memories you will always have.
