2010 may not be a good year for Pakistan in many fields but it was a great year for Pakistan Information Technology (IT) sector. Pakistan won seven Merit awards in Asia Pacific Information and Communication technology Awards (APICTA).

Pacific Information and Communication technology Awards (APICTA).

1-Product: 10G VoIP Monitoring System
Company:Centre For Advanced research in Engineering(CARE)
CARE’s 10G VoIp monitoring system will help national networks in stopping illegal
voice traffic. It will also enhance capabilities of Telecom regulators in identification of
grey traffic.
2-Product: Automated Business Machines
Company: Aerocar Transaction Machines
Automated business machines will enable automated self service banking just like
Automated Teller Machine (ATM).
The core function of Aerocar ATM is to provide a cash dispensing facility. The Aerocar
ATM can operate reliably in hot, humid and dusty environments. Its solar power back-up
allows the ATM to operate during power outages.
Aerocar plans to promote its ATMs in Pakistan, Middle East, Central Asia and Africa
through strategic partnerships with local businesses.
3-Product: Touch XS
Company: Solo Tech
It is a touch screen device for the industrial sector which will help factory workers with
limited education. Touch XS has been manufactured in Italy while designed developed
and engineered in Pakistan.
Touch XS will target large industries and corporations. Its customized version will also
target security and building management.
Solo Tech is expanding world wide by signing channel partnerships. It is being designed
for banking, judiciary and law enforcement industries.
4-Product: Rendezvous 4.0
Company: Avanza Solutions Private Limited
It is Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) suite, providing economic, agile and
easy to maintain infrastructure for application integration and transaction processing.
Rendezvous targets telecom sector and commercial banks. Rendezvous plans to attain
International certification an transaction processing.
5-Product: CureMD
Company: CureMD Pakistan
It is an advanced Web-based al in one suite of revenue cycle management, patient portal,
e-prescribing and electronic health record management (EHR).
It targets integrated delivery networks, small primary care, large or multi specialty.
2. It plans 3D tumor reconstruction, dynamic work flow management and artificial
intelligence-based early diagnosis system.
6-Product: Software Defined Radio
Company: Centre for Advanced Research in Engineering (CARE)
Software defined Radio (SDR) is a device that can be reconfigured to take the shape of
any device of communication. It will enable two different organizations to establish
contact on a common wave length.
CARE has delivered SDR based radio surveillance equipment to local organizations. It is
being used in police and fire brigade units and defence customer’s e.g. Army.
7-Product: Digital radio Surveillance System

Digital radio surveillance system is a portable device which detects whether a portion of
micro wave spectrum is in use or not. This device is useful for telecommunication
authorities to ensure compliance with government regulations.
It is primarily targeted at National communication authorities.
