ABOUT XLRI
XLRI was founded in 1949 by a few visionary Jesuit Fathers to bring about a change
in society. The institute always strives to be a management school with a difference.
The pursuit of academic excellence and fostering whole-person integral growth of
students has been the hallmark of XLRI for over six decades. XLRI has consistently
been ranked as one of India's best B-Schools.
Since 2002, XLRI Virtual Interactive Learning (VIL), gives working professionals an
opportunity to undertake management education without taking a break from their
careers. Over 7000 working professionals have benefited from programmes under
XLRI VIL. VIL is a unique model of live online teaching where XLRI faculty teaches
students across the country.
ABOUT ERUDITUS
Eruditus Executive Education offers customised and open programmes in India,
Singapore, Dubai and other global locations in collaboration with MIT Sloan,
Columbia Business School, INSEAD, HBS, Kellogg, Berkeley, Wharton and
EMERITUS Institute of Management. It offers world-class executive education
needed to continuously grow businesses. Led by alumni of INSEAD and Harvard
and supported by eminent programme experts, the programmes here are designed
to give learning experience integrated with sustainable business applications.
Programmes are crafted in different range of formats; In-class, online as well as
blended programmes. The portfolio includes short 2 to 4 day face-to-face
workshops, online courses of 2-3 months duration as well as comprehensive
learning journeys that run over a duration of 6-9 months customised to an
organisation’s requirement. All the programmes at Eruditus are taught by top
B-schools faculty.
03
Over the years, Virtual Interactive Learning (VIL) Programmes have strived to
bring the world-class education offered at the XLRI Jamshedpur campus to working
executives across the country. Professionals who pursue VIL courses pursue
education from XLRI while continuing to work in their own organisations without taking
a break. For middle to senior level executives, this is an important opportunity to make
the leap from managerial to leadership roles.
Many of XLRI’s highly qualified faculty have come together to teach this programme,
which aims to imbibe optimum strategic decision making in all participants. One of the
key advantage of this programme will be the high quality of learning from industry
experts and peer learning. The interactions with senior executives in the batch from all
kinds of industries, roles, locations, and backgrounds will enrich the level of learning
significantly, especially during the ten days of modules conducted in XLRI campus. I’m
sure that the twelve months of an intense educational journey will greatly enhance the
strategic knowledge and abilities of all participants and make them well-rounded
leaders who will lead the next phase of India's development.
Wishing all participants a positive year ahead, full of great learnings and
experiences.
Dr. Sangem is a Chartered Accountant and an FPM from
IIM Calcutta.
His research interests are in economics, banking, corporate
finance and business transformation. He has conducted
executive education programmes for several companies
including Accenture, Capgemini, Viacom, L&T, ONGC.

Dr. Indrajit Mukherjee
Programme Director
Dr. Mukherjee has a BTech from IIT Kharagpur and a PGDBM and
an FPM from IIM Calcutta.
He has worked with Honeywell, Tata and SAIL.
His research interests include technology and innovation,
strategy, corporate governance and business transformation. He
has presented award winning papers at Indian and international
conferences.
Over the last few decades, the Indian business landscape has witnessed
a sea change. Rapid technological progress, changes in economic policies
and globalisation have all contributed to make the modern business
environment significantly fluid in nature. For XLRI, this necessitated
designing and developing a brand new course in the strategy area. This
course aims to equip senior executives in strategic roles with the skills and
knowledge required to handle this ever-changing business landscape. The
Senior Executive Certificate in Business Transformation Strategies is one of
the very few courses in India which fulfills these requirements.
