After having watched and read the "Three Little Pigs" version presented at the Northumberland Grid for Learning http://ngfl.northumberland.gov.uk/english/3pigs/Northumberland%20NGfL%20Three%20Little%20Pigs.html I decided to make my own version - to encourage the students to make their own version as well.

1. Three Pigs Rewritten by Miss Agie

2. Once upon a time, there were three little pigs. They lived in a pig sty on a farm. one two three

3. Their names were: Sweet Pig Scary Pig Clown Pig

4. Early one morning, they left their farm to build their own houses.

5. “I like making people laugh,” thought Clown Pig.

6. So, he built a very funny house…

7. … and made some balloons.

8. Along came a Big Bad Dragon. He knocked on the door and said, “Little Pig, Little Pig! Let me come in.”“No way! Not today! You’re the Big Bad Dragon! Go away!” replied Clown Pig.

9. “Then I’ll huff and I’ll puff and I’ll burn your house down!” said the Big Bad Dragon.

10. So the Dragon huffed and puffed and he burned the house down.

11. And he ate Clown Pig.

12. “Candies and chocolates would be good to build a house with,” thought Sweet Pig. “Everyone loves sweets!” said Sweet Pig.

13. So, she builta house of candies and chocolate…

14. … and she baked some cookies.

15. Along came the Big Bad Dragon and he knocked on the door. “Little Pig, Little Pig, let me come in,” he said.“No way! Not today! You’re the Big Bad Dragon! Go Away!” said Sweet Pig.

16. “Then I’ll huff and I’ll puff and I’ll burn your house down!” growled the Big Bad Dragon.

17. The Big Bad Dragon huffed and puffed and huffed and puffed and he burned the house down.

18. And he ate Sweet Pig.

19. ??? “What should I build my house with?” wondered Scary Pig.

20. Go away! You scary pig! Go away!!! Ah! Bricks!

21. So Scary Pig built a castle made of bricks.It was a dark and scary castle.“This castle will protect me.” he thought.

22. He was watching scary movies inside the castle when…

23. No way! Not today! You’re the Big Bad Dragon. Go away!!! … along came the Big Bad Dragon. He knocked on the door and said, “Little Pig! Little Pig! Let me come in!”

24. “Then I’ll huff and I’ll puff and I’ll burn your house down!” shouted the Big Bad Dragon. Oh! I don’t know what to do!

25. The Big Bad Dragon huffed and puffed and huffed and puffed and HUFFED and PUFFED…

26. But the castle did not burn down at all.

27. “I have a cunning plan,” said the Dragon.“I’ll make myself small, climb down the chimney and eat that pig!”(Remember: he doesn’t know what Scary Pig looks like)“I have a cunning plan. I’m going to scare that Big Bad Dragon,” said Scary Pig.

28. “Oh!” cried Monster Pig. “What costume will I wear?”

29. Smoke!

30. When the smoke was gone. The Big Bad Dragon (small dragon) saw Scary Pig. He was scared and ran out the castle.

31. And the Dragon never came back to Scary Pig’s castle ever again.
