Annual event started by the University of
Illinois Office of Public Engagement.
CCDOS 2014 is on Saturday April 5th.
Hundreds of volunteers gather to package
hundreds of thousands of meals to be
distributed to Champaign-Urbana
agencies.
This year’s goal is 147,000 meals. For

4. The Story We Want to Tell
Hunger is a pressing need in the Champaign-Urbana community and in
communities all over the world.
These issues need all our help, and there are lots of ways to give it, on the
Day of Service and beyond.
The Illinois community is addressing pressing societal issues through
leadership and service.
