The Journey

My marathon journey started in May 2008 as a way to
motivate my family members, fellow friends, job-
seekers, parents with kids, and health challenged
individuals. I hope through practice, I am able to set an
example and help change the health of “one-person-at-
a-time”. It is my passion and I welcome one and all to
join in this effort to live an active and healthy lifestyle.
Miles to go...
Paris is one of my favorite city and to run a
marathon in the city was like a dream come true. I
have a feeling that this is not the last time, I will
participate in this event. However, I could not have
done this without the direct and indirect support of
my family and friends around the globe. I am
humbled and honored to share the photo diary of a
long journey that I have embarked upon...
First step-
Finish Line Atlanta Marathon-March 2009
Marathon Expo-
           First stop in Paris

First stop in paris was to pick the “Race Packet”
containing the unique tag and several other goodies for
each runner, then on to the all important photos and
eating pasta at the “Pasta Party”. I must say the pasta
was pretty good!!!
Clock Wise-Marathon Expo packet pickup
booth, Pasta Party, Asics shoes used by
famous runners, and finally the Photo with my
                    TAG.
Marathon Morning
The Finish Line
A great sense of
accomplishment and
emotion filled my heart at
the sight of the finish line.
However in same ways, I
wished it would go on
forever as I can never get
enough of the sights and
sound of running through
beautiful Paris. I know, I
will be back...
Finish Line
The Medal

Finally it was time to enjoy & relish
the moment with the beautiful
medal!
Final Result & Analysis

My watch recorded 05:02:00 hours for 26.90 Miles.
However, the official time recorded was 5:03:39 hours
for 26.2. Compared to Atlanta marathon in 2009, I
reduced my time by around 30-40 minutes.
The Moment!!!

     This little boy captured my
   sentiments, “A journey of a
thousand miles begins with the first
                 step”.
Thank you!!!
I am humbled and grateful to
be able to share a few special
moments of my life with you.
Please pat yourself in the
back, as you played a role in
making this happen. I end
with the African proverb, “ I
am because you are” and
hope to see you out there
soon...running, jogging,
walking, and exercising!!!
