OUR MISSION
THE PROJECT
OUR VISION OUR STRATEGY
GOAL
Our mission for this project is
– to turn more student project works entrepreneurship into businesses in the real industry (valorisation)
YOUR ROLE – to stimulate entrepreneurship for business students and designer students
REGISTER Research at the Vlerick Leuven Ghent Management School showed that project works entrepreneurship
often lacked in quality, market orientation and originality of the underlying ideas.
Students have difficulties in illustrating their ideas which also prevents them from throroughly testing the
FAQ attainability and from fine-tuning their ideas.
PRESS This leads to the fact that only few student project works are actually valorised in the industry. On the other
hand, many good ideas are not properly worked out.
CONTACT US THIS IS WHERE BRIDEE STEPS IN.

NEWS
WHAT ARE THE SELECTION CRITERIA?
1. Venture: the idea must be entrepreneurial and robust enough for starting a company or creating a spin-
off. So be careful with e.g. day fly gadgets or process re-engineering for existing businesses.
2. The idea should be quite concrete: a problem with a concrete solution. A problem alone is not an
idea.
3. Original: if your idea is totally me-too and has not an original twist to it, there is not a lot of chance the
students will be interested. Check this before your submit. However: an idea you picked up and has not
been developed yet in another locality can be interesting.
4. Room for improvement: if you already have a full business plan or all the research has been done al-
ready, don’t submit.
5. There must be link with your capabilities as an Idea Owner: either you understand the technology, either
you have spotted a need in a market you are familiar with. If you have no link with the idea whatsoever,
don’t submit.
6. Your motivation: the Idea Owner is an important sounding board for the students. If you have no time or
no real interest to team up, don’t submit.
7. Open for change and research: students will need to talk about your idea in general terms (without re-
vealing technical details, under NDA if needed) to clients and potential business partners to reveal your
business model. If you are frantic about such discloser, don’t submit.
What is the selection procedure?
• Vlerick staff will make a first selection based on the criteria above.
