Frankfurt Collective was founded in the late nineties by LAB75 to
give local artists and entrepreneurs a platform to exchange and
develop ideas and products.

During the last 3 years this turned into a vital design, technology

is a high potential for more innovation hotspots.

12. TEDx RheinMain
TED is a nonprofit organization devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. Started as a
four-day conference in California 25 years ago, TED has grown to support those
world-changing ideas with multiple initiatives.

TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to
share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers
combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group.
!
Events of TEDxRheinMain took place at the Capitol Offenbach, Museum für
Kommunikation Frankfurt, Börse Frankfurt, ESA Darmstadt and Univirsity
Mainz.

13. Rocketminds
Developed out of TEDx RheinMain, Rocketminds was started as an online
magazine focusing on topics like space, science, exploration and ideation.

As a first collaboration spin-off, Rocketminds collaborates with the european
space agency (esa) and other german scientific institutes on topics of space,
science, exploration and ideation.
!
Content will be produced by a core team of bloggers and aggregated from activities
of the FrankfurtCollective community as well as global topics of interest.

14. OpenTechSchool RheinMain
OpenTechSchool is a community initiative offering free programming workshops
and meetups to technology enthusiasts of all genders, backgrounds, and
experience levels.

OTS’ main goal is to create a friendly learning environment where no one feels shy
about asking any question: Everyone is invited to participate, whether as a coach
or a learner.

OpenTechSchool RheinMain has an international audience with a broad
background ranging from tech, design to administration.

15. FabLab FFM
!
FabLab FFM will be launched in summer 2014 as a fabrication laboratory located
in Frankfurt/Bornheim as a community space to explore but mainly to really
create tangible things.
!
Spreading the access to modern means of invention, it will be equipped with an
array of flexible computer controlled tools that cover wide range of scales and
materials, with the aim to make "almost anything". This includes technology-
enabled products generally perceived as limited to mass production.
!
FabLab FFM will focus on edutainment (workshops, user groups, meet ups ) but
will offer the needed infrastructure to work on prototypes, projects and ideas on a
commercial scope as well.
