4. Sustainability, Performance, Pricing
✤
Sustainability - Codenvy allows you and others to easily keep your
code sustainable for all projects.
✤
Performance - Codenvy is consistent and quick but it can lack some
of the performance of non-cloud based IDEs (such as syntax
highlighting as you type). Performance can also rely on your internet
connection
✤
Pricing - Free for everyone! (code envy premium is coming soon and
will cost money)
5. Benefit/Cost
✤
Since Codenvy is free, there is no financial cost to using it
✤
However, the cost of privacy and user experience is something to
look at
✤
Is your project something that you would mind others possibly
seeing?
✤
Are you attached to your IDEs non-essential functionalities such
as hot keys, drag and drop capabilities, and syntax highlighting?
✤
If you answered yes to one of the above, codenvy might not be
for you
6. Compatability
✤
Cloud IDEs are built for compatibility. Any user can use it no matter
what platform they have as long as they have internet access.
