 Apple announced USD 1 billion paid to app developers
over 2 years

 App developers making money

 EA Mobile (mobile games) did $212M with approx $30M from
the iPhone app store
 Gameloft (mobile games company) did $150M with $25M from
the iPhone app store
 TomTom (navigation solutions) did ~$20M from the iPhone app
store
 Tapulous (mobile games company) did $12M last year, acquired
by Disney



 USD 1 billion paid to app developers averaged over
225,000 apps is USD 4,444 per app on the iPhone app
store

 On the Android Market only 30% apps are paid as
opposed to 70% on the iPhone app store.

 Blackberry app world probably yields even lower
developer revenues
