3. This shot is very effective in creating a brand identity between both the poster and the trailer. We
see this shot very early on in the trailer and the way in which the character is grabbing onto her
sisters arm, this represent the image on the poster where the little girl is grabbing onto her mothers
arm. These suggest that the little girl has something to be scared of within the scene as she is
holding onto a older figure for comfort. They have also used brand identity as they have used the
young girl within this close up shot, this then means the audience can recognize the main
characters straight away. The girl is also wearing very dark clothing, this also creates a brand
identity in connection to the poster as the girl is wearing whole poster Is very dark as the darkness
connotes danger.

4. The poster for mama has a great emphasis on the butterflies that were surrounding
the women's dress, these connote the wild nature of the mother and the children.
We see the butterflies in the trailers in a few different areas, the children then look at
the butterflies as if they have a connection with them too. In this particular shot they
have also used low key lighting on the girls, the low key lighting connotes the
darkness surrounding them and fear that the family living with the children have.
They have also used the children again, the child who is in this shot once again is
centred they have used the principle of thirds to ensure that the audience’s
attention is drawn to her within the scene.

used a variety of credits that have
used the same sans serif
typography that has been seen on
the poster. This typography has
horror connotations. They have
also used the same coloured
background within the credits.
They have used a black and white
colour scheme this is also used
within the poster, this colour
scheme connotes fear and danger
within the trailer.
