Word Wall
 Students gather objects that are examples of
content-area vocabulary discussed in class.
 Students review vocabulary by placing these objects
inside transparent bags on a word wall.
 Students create a personal connection with the
content when their objects are placed on the wall for
display.

3. Windowpanes
 Students draw eight sections on a piece of paper and
then they draw pictures that correlate with the
vocabulary word.
 Students are able to view eight vocabulary words in one
area to make connections between concepts.
 Sorting, classifying, and categorizing can be used to
encourage students to make a connection with the
subject matter.
 Drawing pictures of vocabulary words helps confirm
student background knowledge and may help students
to conceptualize the meaning of vocabulary words.
