• We will meet socially with various entrepreneurs groups, including those from Endeavor, Alumni of
HBS’s OPM program, VC-backed entrepreneurs and others (e.g., portfolio companies)
Angels and Family Offices
• We will meet with a few Angel Investors during the trip; the format is not yet set, but could include
a dinner with a selection of Angels and/or a visit to their offices
* Some of the VC´s companies may change, but the set should represent a broad spectrum of VC funds (different industries/sizes)

5. • Flights will be booked by each participant
individually (roundtrip flights from Boston
currently available for ~$990)
• Transportation hotel and general meals will be
booked as a group, at a cost of approx. $1,500
(shared room) to $2,000 (single), which will be
collected prior to the trip
• Extra food, drinks and entertainment will be paid
individually
• Deposits ($300) reserve your spot and will be
refunded after the trip’s completion

6. • Q: Is this a tourism or educational trek?
• A: The trek is designed to be educational and productive. There will be
little free time in the agenda from Monday to Thursday. If you would like
to enjoy tourism in Brazil, you should arrive early or stay after.
• Q: Can partners and/or friends join?
• A: No – unfortunately space is a very limited, to make the visits and
meetings productive.
• Q: Is Sao Paulo/Brazil safe?
• A: As is true in any big city in the world, trouble can be found if you go
looking for it. Security should not be an issue if you stay with the group.
• Q: What about medical care?
• A: Your Harvard University Health Services (HUHS) insurance should
provide some nominal level of coverage – more information is available
here.

7. • Q: Who is organizing this and what for?
• A: This is the inaugural HBS Angels global trek to connect students with
professionals in high growth/emerging economies. It is being organized by
the chairs of Harvard Angels in Brazil.
• Q: Do I need a VISA to travel to Brazil?
• A: Most likely, yes. We will work with you to get this taken care of prior to
the trip.
• Q: Can I stay with friend(s) in Sao Paulo to reduce the cost of the trip?
• A: Unfortunately, no. Doing so would create logistical issues for the entire
group, and so we’ve decided that we’d like everyone to stay together.
