a potential freed
and realized
what a vision is NOT:
incremental
strategic
timid
cautious
it can be big…
…and far away.
…or tiny
and near by…
solving homelessness one tiny home at a time.
from the young…
…or the old.
range-finding our vision
exercise: clarifying our inner values and desires.

Powerful organisations colonise the future: do you share
Amazon’s vision? Google’s vision? Shell Oil’s vision?
We know from biology that monoculture creates vulnerability:
• strength arises from choices among competing futures –
• so let’s try open source visioning.
To start, each of us should clarify our own values and visions.
Let’s borrow a vision test format from opticians:
• focus in on your vision (preferred future) by comparing
contrasting possible futures, and choosing among them…..

manipulation and

Either/or forced choices are artificial and unrealistic --
we want both.
Searching for both/and solutions to conflicting goals
and colliding trends:

•asks what trade-offs our choices generate.
We can dream in hybrids
if we choose.

recipients –
tick those items you also listed ✔
star those items you wished you’d listed! ★
now pass them again to your left…
and so on around the table, until they return home.
