Webinos allows users to access applications and services across multiple devices through a personal zone. The personal zone provides synchronization of preferences, bookmarks, and other context across devices. Users can start tasks on one device and continue on another. The personal zone has a permanent online presence and others can discover it to share content. Webinos is a European project that extends the web to support personal zones through open source software running on devices and in the cloud.
