Returnable Bottle & Can Fundraiser
to benefit
Water for Sudan
Student Instructions:
Part of our goal is to influence our neighbors to take action for a good cause. You
can begin to inspire this by making a personal connection. So, here’s how to
start:
Collection
• personalize each flier by clearly writing your name in the indicated spot.
• fill in your preferred date of pick up (Sat. the 25th
or Sun. the 26th
).
• highlight key information like times and date of pick up and the flier title.
• set a personal goal of distributing at least 20 fliers, and be sure to follow
up at those 20 houses.
• take a bag to Thanksgiving dinner and ask to take cans and bottles with
you to return.
Return
• return the bottles and cans to Wegamans, Tops, or another recycling
center.
• obtain and cash in your receipt.
• bring cash into your bottle/can committee rep on Monday, Nov. 27, where
he/she will record your contribution.
