 Evaluate Regulation in April based on both regional and
statewide supply conditions
 If warranted, adjust or repeal Regulation no later than May

and new local drought-resilient sources of potable supply
 Total reduction cannot exceed 8 percentage points

 Begins to recognize investments in drought-resilient
supplies
 Water agency’s conservation standard reduced up to 8
percentage points based on amount of supply
 Applies to supplies developed after 2013
 Excludes Water Authority transfer of conserved water
 Applies primarily to
seawater desalination
and coastal indirect
potable re-use projects

New Local Drought-Resilient Supply Credit
Certification Submittals
 Deadline for submittal is March 15, 2016
 If accepted, credit will apply to a supplier’s March 2016 conservation
standard
 In coordination with member agencies, Water Authority staff
submitted supporting documentation on February 17, 2016
 Member agencies submitted required certification form referencing
Water Authority documentation
 For submittals received prior to February 22, 2016, SWRCB staff
expects to post adjusted conservation standards first week of March
 Working with SWRCB staff to initiate crediting March 1 for those
agencies that submitted certification documentation by February
22, 2016
