8. Year 12 Mathematics In Year 12 Mathematics is compulsory. The course you will be in will depend on your Year 11 results. There are 3 courses in Year 12. Year 12 Maths study algebra, functions and probability. Assessment is mostly external achievement standards with two internal Achievement standards Year 12 Matucourse is similar but more assessment is internal assessed and there are only three external standards and less algebra Year 12 Matnlook at number, statistics and geometry. This course is all internally assessed.

13. Year 12 Chemistry Chemistry is the study of the composition, structure, properties and reactions of matter. Investigate precipitation reactions Learn how to perform a titration, Link the structure and bonding of substances to their properties, Find out what organic substances really are, Delve into the world of acids, bases and equilibrium reactions, Discover just what electrons are up to during a redox reaction. Get reactive in Year 12 Chemistry!
14. Aspirin Assessment is 2/3 external and 1/3 internal. The course includes practical work, problem solving and describing, explaining and discussing chemical ideas. 17. Year 12 Human Biology An Internally Assessed Unit Standard Course Based on a Mix of Unit Standards from Level 1 and Level 2. Topics range from catch up level 1 Standards in Human Organ function Genetic change Applied Biology To Level 2 Standards in Cell Biology Using a microscope
18. Human Biology provides an opportunity to gain a limited number of level 2 credits. Most of the standards are at level one. Human Biology does not lead onto any year 13 Science courses. See Dr Phillips for further information

Year 12 Art Year 12 Art involves students exploring a given theme in both sculptural and painting works to expand their understanding of those disciplines and create original works from these studies. The year concludes with the creation of a folio presentation which can be in either sculpture or painting.
