This document outlines the philosophy and rationale for teaching PDHPE (Personal Development, Health and Physical Education). The key goals are to use play and participation to promote physical activity, commitment, and a holistic understanding of oneself and others. Lessons aim to develop students' minds, bodies, and spirits through a healthy, safe, and active lifestyle. The overall teaching purpose is to improve students in mind, body and spirit through practicing what it means to be human as part of a community, and to establish a foundation for a healthy adulthood through play and PDHPE now.
