corporate responsibility
and the implementation
of voluntary initiatives
and codes of conduct.
For my environmental reporting and/or disclosures pratices in the industry I would like to discuss starbucks
(one US's top beverage company), how they identified their environment threats and work for a better
tomorrow for self and their customers.

Active role in advancing the usgbc’s(U.S. Green Building Council) leed standard for retail
24-hour monitoring of energy usage among a sample of 19 starbucks stores in the u.s.
Providing 409 store managers in eight regions with resource report cards(feedback on their store’s
energy and water usage)
Offered customers a chance to donate their 10 cent discount to the chesapeake bay Foundation
Promoting reusable mugs
Redirecting the commuter mug discount to a locally relevant NGO increased customer participation
nearly 18 percent
