2. Introduction
• Latitude Assist can save lives. Emergency situation
sent as geotagged SMS describe emergencies like
fire, natural disasters, accidents and many
others(like riots).
• The application is to be used as an SOS tool with
up to 3 pre-configured mobile numbers
• With this application you can access different types
of functionality including: setting the secured area
for alerts, speedy automatic alerts, out of range
geo-fence (secured area) automatic alerts and find
your location including address and map

• Set up to 3 sos recipients
• Manual Help request SMS SOS to any of 3
recipients (emergency/inconveniences ...etc).
• Out of geo-fence SMS alert for 3 recipients
(optional you can enable/disable)

• Go to Settings from main menu, and press on Application Settings.
• Press on Positioning

• Make sure to use Assisted GPS and network.

• geo-fence is a secure areas for alerts More than enough to know that your
child/family are where they should be! Still.
• If you will not enable geo-fence on mobile you can skip the whole geo-fence
pages.
• If you are going to use geo-fence it is recommended to follow this video
tutorial 2 minutes video shows you how easy to create geo-fence

12. Creating geo-fence
• In search address please type the address area you are looking for
• Click on “Search” button
• Search result will show under search button and is shown markers on the map

• When you are ready to draw you secured area please enable drawing on the
map by clicking on draw on the map button

• Click on the map to add first point in your secured area rectangle around your
geo point (s) you choose based on your choice

your geo point (s) you choose based on your choice. Line will be drawed
automatically.

resize rectangle by dragging points up and down

• Click on “Save geo-fence “ button this will create your geo-fence ID that
needed by your mobile please keep this ID saved you will need it
19. Application Settings
• When you download application first time from OVI it will start with settings
screen automatically.
• Make sure to Enable GPS.
• Define Mobile name and
application protected password
• Press Next Button.

• In this screen you will define 3 SOS mobiles who will receive alerts about out-
of geo-fence and over speed.
• You Must define at least one SOS mobile.
• Press Next Button.

• In this screen you will Enable geo-fence, you must create geo-fence from your

• Enable GEOFENCE and enter your generated geo ID
• Internet connection is required for this action

• Scroll on geo-fence alert list to change the time between each SMS alert you
receive on SOS mobiles
• Scroll on over speed alert list to set over speed alert SMS that will be received
on SOS mobile (s). Never means that speed will never be checked
