Goal of the Course To build a solid foundation of skills, habits, and problem-solving strategies that your children will need for the traditional Algebra 1 - Geometry - Algebra 2 - PreCalculus - Calculus sequence of courses that they will experience in the years ahead
Core Components of the Curriculum Operations on Integers, Rational Numbers including exponents Solving Equations and InequalitiesGraphing Ratios, Percentages, and Probability Geometry, Perimeter, Area, and Volume Graphing Lines Sequences and Functions
My Goals for the Students I want to provide a foundation and background in mathematical reasoning in basic math processes.  I want them to become self-starters, ready to persevere through new problems and situations. I want them to learn how to become patient problem solvers with problems which may be messy.
How We Are Going to Accomplish This? Small Group Work Apply the concepts to Real World Problems Use of visuals, tables, and graphs to have students decipher and interpret information
Which film was most successful? Which was least successful? Estimate would the budget for a 9th movie be? Estimate what the gross profit for the 9th movie would be?
How Are We Going to Assess Learning? Homework Daily Homework Quizzes Tests Projects
How Can We Partner ?
