2. A healthy diet can help the hair to stay strong and
shiny. Good hair comes from a healthy and sensible
nutritional programme. When our body is deprived of
essential nutrients, many of which are needed for
normal hair growth, we are likely to suffer from hair
fall.
It is pertinent to remember that hair is essentially
made up of protein. Thus, protein is required in
adequate quantities along with other essential
nutrients to keep the hair strong and shiny.
3. Protein: A very important nutrient which acts as the
building block of every tissue in our body including
the hair and scalp. It helps in the production of new
hair to replace the ones lost. A lack of protein can
lead to thinning of hair, dry and brittle hair as well
as eventual hair loss. Get protein intake from
foods like beans, nuts, grains, low fat milk and its
products, dish, eggs, chicken.
4. Vitamin C: Collagen production is very important
to hold the hair tissues together in place and
Vitamin C also helps do the needful. A lack of this
can lead to frequent split ends, hair fall and brittle
hair. Vitamin C rich foods include green leafy
vegetables, oranges, lemon, sweet lime, papaya,
bell pepper, guava, kiwi, broccoli, berries, citrus
fruits, tomatoes. If you are a smoker, you need
more amounts of Vitamin C so cut down on
smoking and eat more fruits.
5. Iron: The lack of iron can weaken the hair right from
the roots, which will cause them to break. In order to
avoid its deficiency, eat iron rich foods such as whole
grains, meat, eggs, green leafy vegetables, nuts and
seeds, soybean and its products. Copper:
Haemoglobin is needed by our body to supply
enough oxygen and blood to various organs
including our hair. Copper helps in the formation of
more haemoglobin. Lack of it can result in weak,
brittle hair which will lead to hair loss. Good sources
of copper include sesame seeds, soya, nuts
(walnuts, almonds), seeds (sunflower, pumpkin and
sesame), whole grains, lentils, meat and seafood to
provide enough amounts of Zinc to your hair.
6. Biotin: Vitamin that is critical for the health and sheen
of hair. It helps to strengthen the hair from its roots.
Good sources of Biotin include lentils like red kidney
beans, nuts like walnuts, green peas, sunflower seeds,
barley, oats, carrots, mushrooms and eggs.
Vitamin B-Complex: This is required to help the
haemoglobin supply Oxygen to the scalp and hair
follicles. More Oxygen promotes hair growth. The lack
of Vitamin B-Complex can lead to weak,
undernourished and damaged hair.
7. Vitamin D: It is an important vitamin for hair growth.
Good sources include egg, tuna, salmon, fish oil,
mushroom, fatty fish, fortified foods, tofu, low fat dairy
products, soya milk and almond milk.
Reduce Stress: Take frequent breaks throughout the
day for stress relief through breathing, stretching,
relaxation and meditation.
Exercise Regularly: Fitness is a youth serum, it’s no
secret that working out keeps you younger. Exercise
keeps you energetic and improves your physical ability
to do the work which you love.
8. Sleep Enough: Lack of sleep can cause hair loss.
Alterations in sleeping patterns have been shown to
affect the body’s immune function, hormone
secretion and physical and mental stamina. The hair
is very sensitive to changes within the body, and hair
loss is nearly always the consequence of an internal
disturbance.
Add variety to the meal: Go for items that are
naturally packed with nutrient like fruits, veggies,
whole grains, nuts, fish and other types of lean
protein. Change things up. Go for a variety of foods
and get all the vitamins and minerals needed.
9. VLCC Slimmer’s Range: Hair quality shall be
supported by enhancing sun protection, collagen
production, neutralizing the free radicals, both
inside and outside the body with antioxidants and
phytochemicals. This can be done by
incorporating a regular intake of VLCC Slimmer’s
range and foods that have been suggested
above.
