7. WHY ?
Previous quotations are the roots in formulating our program and
carrying out our mission. Initially we have to establish the goals and
then work for their success. Since the goals are instrumental to drive
an individual or a company to a success, it is a good idea to first
evaluate our goals and make sure that they are :

9. र्वद्या नाम नरस्य रूपमधिकं प्रच्छन्नगुप्तं िनं
र्वद्या भोगकरी यश:सुखकरी र्वद्या गुरूणां गुरु:।
र्वद्या बन्िुजनो र्वदेशगमने र्वद्या परं दैवतं
र्वद्या राजसु पूजजता न तु िनं र्वद्या र्वहीन: पशु:।।

र्वद्या ही मनुष्य का सवोत्तम रूप तथा गुप्त िन है।
र्वद्या ही भोग्य पदाथों को देती है; यश और सुख को देने वाली तथा गुरुओं की भी गुरु है।
र्वद्या ही र्वदेश में बन्िुजनों की भााँनत सुख-दु:ख में सहायक होती है और यही भाग्य है।
राजाओं के द्वारा र्वद्या की ही पूजा होती है, िन की नहीं।
अत: र्वद्या से हीन पुरुष पशु के समान है।
तात्पयय यह है कक र्वद्या अवश्य प्राप्त करनी चाटहए।।
'Knowledge' is the name of that which enhances the beauty of man; it is his hidden stash
of treasure; knowledge brings him name, fame and happiness; knowledge is the teacher
of all teachers; knowledge is his kith and kin when on foreign land; knowledge is God
itself; knowledge is worshiped amongst kings, not money; one without vidhya
(knowledge) is equivalent to an animal.

11. न चोर चोयं न च राज हायं न भात्रू भाज्यं न च भारकारर |
व्ययं कत ते वियत एव ननत्यं र्विा िनं सवयिनप्रिानम ||
Cannot be snatched away by a thief, cannot be snatched

Knowledge has characterisitc like
"Kamadhenu" which grants all the wishes
During travel (journey), knowledge takes
care like mother. Thus knowledge is
considered as a hidden wealth

16. Knowledge imparts modesty.Through humbleness comes
eligibility. Once eligible comes wealth. Wealth can be utilized to
perform good deeds (dharma). Good deeds lead to happiness.
सरस्वित नमस्तुभ्यं वरदे कामरूपपणि ।
पवध्यारम्भं कररष्यामम मसद्धधभमवतु मे सदा ॥
पवध्या ददाित पवनयं पवनयाद्याित पात्रतं |
पात्रत्वाद्दनमाप्नॊित धनाद्धममम् तत: सुखं ||

ચીનમાાં સાંસ્કૃત ભાષા શીખવાનો વધતો જતો ક્રેઝ
એક કેમ્પમાાં ૬૦ જગ્યા માટે ૩૦૦ બુદ્ધિજીવીઓની અરજી
ચીનની ૬૦ ગણનાપાત્ર વ્યક્તતઓએ આ વષે સાંસ્કૃત ભાષાના અભ્યાસમાાં ઉમળકો દાખવ્યો
સાંસ્કૃત ભાષા શીખનારાઓ ભારતમાાં પણ ખ ૂબ ઝડપથી ઘટી રહ્ાાં છે ત્યારે અન્ય દેશોમાાં સાંસ્કૃત ભાષા શીખનારા વધે એ
વાત પહેલી નજરે સાચી ન લાગે, પરાંતુ હકીકત એ છે કે આપણા પાડોશી દેશ ચીનમાાં સાંસ્કૃત ભાષા શીખવાનો ઉમળકો
બૌદ્ધિક કહેવાતા લોકો દાખવી રહ્ાાં છે. ભારતમાાં સતત સાંસ્કૃત ભાષા જાણનારાઓનુાં પ્રમાણ ઓછાં થઈ રહ્ુાં છે ત્યારે ચીનમાાં
થયેલી આ શરૃઆત ભારતના સાંશોધકોને પણ કદાચ પ્રેરણા આપશે. ચીનના બુદ્ધિસ્ટ ઈન્સન્સ્ટટયૂટના સાંસ્કૃત ભાષાના
પ્રોગ્રામમાાં લેખકો-સાહહત્યકારો-હિલ્મમેકસસ-ચચત્રકારો-તબીબો વગેરેને જ સાંસ્કૃત શીખવા માટે પ્રવેશ આપવામાાં આવે છે. એમાાં
આ વષસના કેમ્પમાાં આખા ચીનમાાંથી લગભગ ૩૦૦ બુદ્ધિજીવીઓએ પ્રવેશ માટે અરજી કરી હતી.
પ્રોિાઈલ અને પ્રવેશ પરીક્ષા પછી ૩૦૦માાંથી ૬૦ લોકોને પ્રવેશ આપવામાાં આવ્યો છે. આ હક્રએહટવ લોકોને ભારતના
પ્રાચીન સાંસ્કૃત ભાષાના શ્લોકો, સાંસ્કૃતના મહાકવવઓ, સાંસ્કૃત ભાષામાાં રચાયેલા મહાગ્રાંથોની વવગતો વગેરે શીખવવામાાં
આવે છે. સાંસ્કૃત કઈ રીતે લખાય, કઈ રીતે તેનુાં અથસઘટન થઈ શકે વગેરે બાબતો શીખવાડીને સાંશોધકો-લેખકો-હિલ્મસર્જકો
પોતાનુાં સર્જન વધુ સજ્જ બનાવે એવો આ પ્રોગ્રામનો આશય છે. પ્રાચીન ભારતીય યોગ અને ચચહકત્સાપિવતમાાં ચીનના
બુદ્ધિજીવીઓ વધુ રસ દાખવી રહ્ાાં છે. આજના ઘણાાં કઠીન રોગોનો ઉપચાર આપણા પ્રાચીન સાંસ્કૃત ગ્રાંથોમાાં છે એટલે
એના અભ્યાસની સાથે પવિમ ચચહકત્સા પિવતને જોડીને ચીનના તબીબો એવા અસાધ્ય રોગોનો ઉપચાર શોધવાના હેતુથી
પણ સાંસ્કૃત ભાષા શીખે છે. સાંસ્કૃતભાષા તરિ વવદ્યાથીઓની ઉત્સુકતા પારખીને ચીનની પેહકિંગ યુવનવવસિટીમાાં પણ
અનુસ્નાતક કક્ષાનો સાંસ્કૃતનો કોષસ શરૃ કયો છે.
