3. Background of kentucky fried chicken (KFC)
 KFC is the world’s largest restaurants company in terms of
system restaurants.
 Founded by Colonel Harland Sanders in the early 1930’s by
cooking and serving food for hungry travellers.
 In 1952 sanders started franchising his chicken business &
named it as KENTUKCY FRIED CHICKEN.
KfC operates more than 5,200 restaurants in the U.S.
and more than 15,000 unit around the world.
Everyday more than 12million customers are served at
KFC restaurants.

4. KFC IN INDIA
KFC was the first fast food multinational to
enter in INDIA, after the economic liberization
policy of the Indian govt. in early 1990’s.
KFC received permission to open 30 new
outlets across the country & opened first fast
food outlet in Bangalore in June 1995 by
targeting upper middle class population.

the served items.

 Popular fast-food
chain KFC India has
introduced a new meal box
'Watt a Box' that will help you
charge your phone while you
enjoy a 5-in-1 meal.
The limited edition 'Watt a
Box' is only available at
selected KFC outlets in
Mumbai and Delhi.

11. KFC with IRCTC
 People travelling in trains can now enjoy KFC's
meals on board as the fast food chain has tied up
with IRCTC to start a delivery system for passengers.
 Consumers will have to visit the IRCTC website or
call on 18001034139 (Toll Free) to place their order.
A password will then be sent by KFC to the
consumer's mobile phone which will have to be
mentioned at the time of delivery.
This facility is available only on 12 trains passing
through New Delhi railway station.

Finally, we can understand that every business
organization should understand the importance
of ethics by understanding the culture and
ecological issues in different countries.
KFC should implement a farm level guideline
& audit program .
