Vinay’s work at Rotary’s various areas of focus has been acknowledged both by the

2. Work in area of Club Service:
 Vinay has always focused on strengthening fellowship and ensuring the smooth
functioning of Rotary club(s)
 During Vinay’s Leadership as Director Club Administration, our club RC Pune Shivajinagar
won District Award as Best Administered Club from RID 3131
 Vinay also shared his experiences motivating other clubs while operating as Addl. Asst.
Governor (RY 2014-15) for RID 3131.
 As an active President Vinay motivated his Board & Club Members to participate through
social network such as Facebook, WhatsApp & Club Blogs.
 Enhanced awareness about club activities,history and past projects to incoming members
as well as for Public Image of Rotary, Vinay utilized e-bulletin / blogs & Club Web-sites.
Reporting for District Review Meetings & to District Governor was done electronically.
 Templates & Check lists have been created to make it easier for convenience of incoming
club leaders.
 Vinay has always taken initiatives to conceptualizing, organizing and supporting
Fellowship Meets, Musical & Cultural Programs thereby supporting member-assimilation.
 Rtn Vinay is himself is practicing 1st Generation Entrepreneur for last 15 years after his
success as A Senior Supply Chain Professional having practiced highest ethical standards.
 As an entrepreneur, Vinay achieved appreciation for his achievements such as JRD -
Entrepreneur of the Year Award from Entrepreneur’s Club-Pune. This award was
conferred in recognition of Vinay’s direct contribution as an entrepreneurial venture
benefitting a large section of society. His work of developing a mobile based emergency
alert solution “Siren-the Savior” for community member’s personal safety & security was
appreciated.
 Vinay shares his skills & expertize with club members and community at large. Vinay has
authored a book - मोबाईल माझा सोबती to educate masses.
 A firm believer in sharing knowledge, Vinay has been invited to over 25 Rotary clubs from
district and many technology institutes where he has delivered his programs for use of
Mobile Technology for personal utility & safety.
 Vinay has inspired many colleagues to initiate their own start-ups and vocations and he
mentors these eco-systems.
 Vinay while serving as President, recognized work by various achievers (Dr Dhananjay
Kelkar, & Pt Rahul Deshpande) As per his recommendations, they became Honorary
Rotarians at Rotary Club of Pune Shivajinagar. With his suggestions, his club recognized
contributions of Rahul Ranade. Rotary Vocational Excellence Award conferred on him for
his inspirational work for the youth.
 Vinay brought Rotary & TiE together for executing a “training workshop of “Business
Process Mapping” for upcoming & existing entrepreneurs. For information, TiE

3. (Technology Indus Entrepreneurs) is a global organization of professionals dedicated to
promote entrepreneurship through mentoring.
 Vinay, with fellow club members develops and executes training workshops for school
students Junior Entrepreneurs to enhance awareness about up-coming new up-coming
vocations and professions.
Community & Community Medical Service:
 Extensive work under Community Service Avenue year after years. Has participated
personally in all community service projects of our club.
 Organized Teacher’s Training Workshop by Doctors on Health & Hygiene Awareness and
for conducting Primary Health Screening. About 100 rural school teachers from remote
villages participated.
 Club’s Flagship Global Grant Project for Positive Health Diagnostics of Students in and
around Pune has been initiated and implemented under Vinay’s Leadership. The project
involves preventive diagnostics of rural / deprived students in 8 health areas with
participation of teachers for primary health screenings, medical check up and on-site
corrections aby Doctors and paramedics and hospital based corrective actions with the
help of Hospitals, Doctors, and local community as “partners in service”. A well-equipped
Mobile Dental and Diagnostic Van has been developed. The project is expected to cover
over 25000 students in next 5 years.
 Drive for stepping up basis education. Having actively participated in District’s e-Learning
Initiative, Vinay and his colleagues implemented this initiative at more than 25 schools.
 Vinay has participated in Water availability, conservation, Purification & waste water
sanitation projects for the community.
 A nature lover, Vinay never misses an opportunity to plan, plant & grow trees to keep
environment clean.
 Vinay presently is working on a major initiative where Rotary can partner with involving
a local waste picker’s co-operative NGO to improve their quality of life and motivate
citizen to join in clean environment movement for Pune City. This is being jointly
conceptualized with Rotary Clubs from Portland.
International Service:
 Year after years, Vinay has supported Rotary’s International Service for eradication of
Polio. He not only has participated personally but worked to reach record breaking
numbers for the reach of this initiative by RC Pune Shivajinagar.
 Vinay has actively participated in supporting an NGO’s efforts which supports children
who have suffered at Kashmir conflicts.
 After becoming Paul Harris Fellow Vinay furthered his contribution to TRF to become Paul
Harris Society Member. Vinay’s own contribution stands at USD 4397. Vinay participated
in EREY initiative for TRF.
 Vinay has supported International Service Programs like Incubators for African Countries.
 Vinay & his family has Hosted Rotary Youth Exchange students.

4. New Generation Service:
Having been a Rotaractor in his student days, Vinay was assigned position of Chair for
Club Rotaract Committee/ He Lead Youth Service Avenue as Director in following to
execute many projects like On-Line Programming Contest, Drawing Competition for
School Children.
 Vinay conceptualized & conducted RC Pune Shivajinagar’s 1st RYLA with a participated by
over 2000 students.
 As a member of District New Generation Committee and Co-Chair of District Interact
Committee 2015-16, Vinay motivated and supported many clubs to conduct over 100
RYLAs. District initiatives of “Pariwartan” & Anti-drugs Awareness Campaigns were
supported by Vinay.
 As a Co-Chair for District Interact Committee (2015-16) Vinay organized & conducted
Interact Conference attended by over 350 interactors from District 3131.
 For Rotary Year 2016-17, Vinay is designated District Youth Secretary for Youth Service
when he is planning to conduct International RYLA & Seminars for Youth.

 As a District Co-Director Foundation (Global Grants) 2016-17) has guided multiple clubs
to understand and process Grant Application for their humanitarian projects.
 Conducted Global Grants work shop for Presidents and Foundation Avenue Directors of
clubs from District 3131. Has also clubs outside 3131 district for the same.
Major Rotary Events for District 311 organized / being organized:
 Convener IUPs (International Understanding and Peace Symposium) scheduled on 18th &
19th to be where Rtn Paul Netzel, Vice Chair TRF is the Chief Guest.
 Convener PRE-PETs District even for COPS Sweet sixtee16-17
Other information
As a Rotaractor during college days has shouldered responsibilities in various roles and
has participated in medical camp, Personality development workshops.
Vinay’s spouse Rtn Deepashree a dental Surgeon by vocation. has been an active
Rotarian participating in Medical & Community Service projects and is a member of
Medical Service Project Team. She has been bestowed with Governor’s citation during
2012-13 for her contribution to Rotary’s Medical projects.
