TARGET : Primary target is mammary glands
(breasts).
ACTION : Stimulate mammary glands to produce
milk in females ; in males it enhances the effect of
ICSH (LH).
13. CHEMICAL STRUCTURE
A single chain polypeptide hormone.
Having 199 amino acids.
3 disulphide bridges.
It has half-life of 20-30 minutes.
