Transworld's star performer, the Mobile Eye, is the only product in the country to offer an integrated driver man-
agement module with driving characteristics like rapid acceleration, harsh braking and overspeed duration. The
industry norm for vehicle tracking systems is to provide just basic tracking. Transworld's online software,
FleetView [ www.FleetView.in ] and the Mobile Eye have gone far ahead. This has translated into substantial sav-
ings for all our customers, in addition to access to routine reports like waiting, ERP integrated data and cost con-
trol. This online data-logger captures driver behaviour and safety related HSSE data.

Improve Safety:
1) Monitor Journey: Monitor all your dispatches end to end. We un-
derstand that with a large fleet size it is difficult to keep a track on
all the vehicles and their trips individually, hence we have de-
veloped an exception based system in which all the vehicles are
monitored all the time and only those vehicles which are defaulting
are reported. This enables you to pre-plan the loading, unloading,
manpower, inventory, production etc at your end.
2) Driver Management: Our Driver Management module provides
driver rankings based on the number of violations done by the
drivers. The system logs driver violations like over speeding, rapid
acceleration, harsh braking, night driving, deviations, unwarranted
stoppages etc for all the drivers. The rankings are computed taking
into account the distance of the trip. The lower the ranking the bet-
ter is the driver, a driver with a zero rating is ideal. Drivers with
higher ratings need to be trained and disciplined. Daily the system
provides a list of top 20 and bottom 20 drivers. Over a period of
time this system builds driver history which helps in maintaining a team of safe and efficient drivers. The
on-board GPS GPRS Automatic Vehicle Tracking System (VTS) faithfully records all data.
3) Track Transporter Performance: Along with the drivers the logistic vendor’s or transporter’s perform-
ance can also be individually tracked. Depending on the average driver rating a transporter’s individual
rating is computed. This exercise helps in choosing good vendors hence increasing the safety. The GPS
GPRS VTS helps the logistics manager to closely monitor deliverables.
4) Incident Reconstruction: In an unfortunate event of an incident (accident), our system is capable of
storing last 120 second data which can be retrieved from the device. This data helps in analysing the
cause of the accident as it gives a graphical representation in the form of a speed - time curve.

Step Up Security:
1) Unwarranted Stoppages: One of the most important factors which contribute to
the delay in trip, allows for mischief and compromises the security of the vehicle
are the stoppages of the vehicles. Controlling the duration of the allowed stop-
pages and monitoring the locations closely can bring down the delays in the trip.
Identifying unwarranted stoppages and patterns can help in identifying / avoiding
theft and pilferages. The GPS GPRS system pinpoints each exception location.
2) Deviations: Deviations or diversions during a trip could be due to vested interests
of the drivers, our system monitors the routes closely and identifies the diver-
sions, the drivers can be questioned and penalised for the same. Controlling devi-
ations will also reduce the trip delays. Here again, the GPS GPRS Vehicle Track-
ing System provides on the spot reporting and instant alerts.
Facilitating Logistics:
1) Improve Turnaround Time: By closely monitoring the journey, cutting on excess stops, avoiding diver-
sions and reducing accidents the turnaround time of the trips can be reduced leading to the increase in
number of trips per vehicle per month.
2) Reduce Waiting Time: Our vehicle tracking system will help in computing the ETA for all the vehicles,
hence the waiting time for loading as well as unloading can be reduced by a significant amount which
add to the savings and make the logistics operation much leaner.

Driver Briefing:
Before every journey/trip, a driver briefing is done in which vehicle documentation, route familiarisation, vehicle
check list, drivers physical and mental condition, drivers contact details, remarks, permissions, comments etc are
recorded. If everything is in order only then the driver is sent on a trip, else another driver is sent or the trip is
rescheduled/cancelled.

After every journey the driver is debriefed on his performance in the journey, feedback is taken from the driver

We have initiated a webcam based debriefing, where the driver after reaching the destination is debriefed
immediately and his response is captured while the trip is still fresh in his mind. His inputs are fed into the system
by the trainer.
JOURNEY RISK MANAGEMENT (JRM) MODULE
For your fixed routes, we undertake the detailed mapping of the entire route right from the point of loading to the
point of unloading. Every point on the route is recorder and a safe speed limit is assigned depending on the road
condition and traffic density. The entire journey is broken-down into speed zones for low, medium and high
speeds which are colour coded. There is an audio-visual indicator device fitted in the vehicle which indicates the
zone the vehicle is in and sounds a buzzer in the event of violation. Hence this device aids in improving safety of
the trip.

CASE STUDY
One of our valued customer in the industrial distribution business started using our system two years back when
he was doing 300 dispatches a day with 1300 vehicles amounting to 78 million kilometers per year. Today they
are still doing 300 dispatches a day with 1060 vehicles amounting to 64 million kilometers per year which has
resulted to large savings. Also the total accidents in a month before we started were 13 (including major and
minor incidents), which has been brought down to 3 accidents so far this calendar year. This is due to our
continual and deliberate focus on Safety.
