Arizona has equal employment opportunity (EEO) laws in place to protect the rights of employees. The state advocates non-discrimination in all stages of the employment cycle, from recruitment to termination. If discrimination occurs, employees have opportunities to file complaints against their employers. Victor Melendez, a human resources consultant who previously served as EEO Director for the State of Arizona, directly managed EEO complaint resolution processes. In addition, Victor Melendez implemented key labor relations programs to lower the number of complaints filed.
