a poet can use to create
rhythm, enhance a poem's
meaning, or intensify a
mood or feeling.

sounds and found at the end of a
line.
 Eg:- flow-show

4.  A comparison of two things of
different kind.
 Simile is usually introduced by
words- as or like.
 Eg:- as big as a mountain,
glittering like a star

5.  It identifies something as being
the same as some unrelated
thing.
Eg:
 Life is a dream,
 Camel is the ship of the desert

6.  Inanimate objects are spoken of
as having life.
 Eg:
 The flowers danced in the breeze.
 Clouds ran away at the sight of
sun.

7.  Onomatopoeia is defined as a
word, which imitates the natural
sounds of a thing.
 Eg:- buzz, bang, crash, hum,
splash

8. 
A hyperbole is an extreme
exaggeration used to make a
point. It is often used to intensify
the mood of the poem.

E.g: He ate a meal as huge as a
mountain.
