3. This is why students go to
schoolâŠ

something wrong with them. No, I donât think something

Prairie, Missouri, who committed suicide by hanging three weeks before her fourteenth birthday. A year
later, Meier's parents prompted an investigation into the matter and her suicide was attributed to cyber-

7. Ashlynn Conner
A 10 year old girl committed suicide
after getting bullied. Stacy
Conner(mother of Ashlynn Conner)
broke down, as she recounted how
kids at school and around the
neighbourhood would tease the girl.
"They'd call her a slut, Ashlynn's ugly.
She's fat." Conner, a single mother,
says it's been going on for years. She
knew her daughter was picked on,
but she didn't know what to do. They
had talked about the bullying before,
but Conner says Ashlynn never told
her things were this bad. The girl had
asked to be home-schooled after
coming home Thursday. When her
mother said no, Ashlynn's sister
found her the next day in a bedroom
closet. She had hanged herself with a
scarf.
8. Mitchell Wilson
When Mitchell was 8, his mother
died of cancer.
Muscular dystrophy left Mitchell
Wilson struggling to do simple
things like walking around the
block or climbing stairs. He also
had to use a walker at school.

exercise regularly to stave off
the disease's effects, something
that was growing increasingly
difficult for the boy. He always
got bullied so he committed
suicide.

civil rights violations, as well as to the
enactment of stricter anti-bullying
legislation by
the Massachusetts state legislature.
Prince had moved
from Ireland to South
Hadley, Massachusetts.
Her suicide, after suffering months
of bullying from school
classmates, brought international
attention to the problem of bullying in
US schools. In March 2010, a state
anti-bullying task force was set up as
a result of her death. The
Massachusetts legislation was signed
into law on May 3, 2010.

after being bullied at school for being
tall.
Morgan Musson, who was 6ft, was
allegedly tormented by fellow pupils
over a period of seven months.
Even though she was moved to
another school by her parents, the
bullying continued because the gang
involved lived nearby.
Hours after a tiff with one of her
friends further upset her, Morgan
swallowed 40 tablets of the powerful
painkiller coproxamol and went to
bed.
Her body was found by her mother
Debra Savage, 35, when she tried to
wake her at 6am for school.
