Saint Lucians have watched and listened in awe over the past three (3) weeks to outlandish
and ominous statements/actions espoused by persons who hold the highest offices in our land.
These developments appear to challenge the guarantee on basic rights accorded to every Saint
Lucian under the constitution. Under the heading: Protection of Fundamental Rights and
