America.
In India, Department of Teacher Education in NCERT
designed a project on Micro teaching along with University
of Baroda in 1975.

21. •Micro teaching is not a teaching but it is a process of
learning to teach, in which
•Small teacher (Student –Teacher) teaches
•small unit of content to the
•small group of students (6-10 number) in a
•small amount of time (5-10 min.) in a
•Simulated condition( Artificial Classroom)
Therefore it is a strategy to train inexperience
student-teachers for acquiring teaching skills.
