Involved in making community revitalization plans for three districts in West Kowloon to improve visitor experience and residents’ quality of life. The study aimed to regenerate the older urban districts of Sham Shui Po, Yau Tsim Mong and Kowloon City, by exploring ways to integrate the existing newer waterfront developments and the proposed developments of the West Kowloon Cultural District and Kai Tak Development, acting as catalysts to reactivate and strengthen the surrounding older urban districts, offering economic livelihood and improved quality of life. Proposals include adaptive reuse, community facilities, open space, pedestrian linkages in the form of boulevards from the hinterland to the harbourfront, connecting to a continuous waterfront promenade offering land marine interface with water access.
