3. September 29, 2007, we the BSN2-I organized a health teaching in out adapted community which is Barangay Kalunasan. It was a rainy early in the morning as the students of BSN2-I prepared the needed materials for the outreach program in our adopted community, Barangay Kalunasan. Materials such as visual aids of our health teaching, which is proper hand washing, foods for the people who will be involved in the outreach, and of course CHN bag with BP Apparatus and stethoscope, for wound care and blood pressure taking. It was exactly 1:30 in the afternoon at that day when the students of section 2 – I arrived at the targeted area. The class was divided into 4 teams. The first team was assigned for the health teaching for the kids in the community, the second team was assigned to facilitate with the food and the area maintenance, the third group was assigned to conduct the BP taking, and lastly the forth team was meant to do the wound care. As the program commenced, everything followed and donned perfectly with the help of our accompanying C.I., Mr. Ronald Qui ňon es. With the help of everyone's effort and perseverance with hard work, the outreach was successful with the memories of the children’s laughter and smile. The day ended in the beat of the UC hymn and the picture taking was never absent as the bus went back to the respective area in the UC Banilad Bus stop. That day was full of memories that need to be kept for the long time as we embark to a new challenge on our nursing lives. INTRODUCTION NEXT
