1. What have you learned about
technologies from the process of
constructing this product?
2. • We as a group have learned a lot about
different technologies from the process of
constructing this media product.
3. Different Technologies
• The different technologies that we used during this
process were:
• Editing technologies
• Camera technologies
4. Editing Technologies
• When we as a group came to edit our media film we
decided that the best software to use was Apples
iMovie.
• The software was perfect for us as it allowed us to
arrange our footage into the order we wanted in a
easy and reliable way. The software also allowed us
to add sound and music to add effect to our film.
5. Editing Technologies
• The editing process allowed us to view our film as
complete piece apposed to random, unedited
footage that would not make sense out of context.
• Editing helped us to finalise what we wanted to see
on scene and then made it possible for us to do just
that.
6. Editing Technologies
• From the editing process we have learnt how to
piece a selection of footage together in order to
create a film.
• We have also learnt the value of team work from this
exercise, as we had to develop our skills as a team in
order for us to bring our minds together as one for a
final piece of work that we would all be happy with.
7. Camera Technologies
• When we came to film our product we had to choose
what camera we were going to use and how we were
going to use it…
8. Camera Technologies
• The first camera we used was a standard picture
camera with video capabilities.
• This picture quality on this camera was not brilliant
but was good enough to begin with. Unfortunately
half way though filming this camera ran out of
battery and we were forced to use a back up camera.
• We have learned from this that we need to make
sure that the camera is fully charged before we begin
to film!!
9. Camera Technologies
• The second camera we used was the camera on one
of the groups IPhone. It was used a back up camera.
• The picture quality on this camera was worse than
the first camera as it was not designed to be a high
quality camera. Unfortunately when we tried to get
the footage off of the phone and on to the computer
for editing the phone deleted all of the footage we
had on there.
• None of the footage we filmed on the IPhone was
retrieved, thus none was used in the final film.
10. Camera Technologies
• The third camera we used was an actual video
camera. We used it for our re-film.
• The quality wasn’t great but was better than we had
on the other cameras we used.
• This is the camera that nearly all of the final film was
shot on.
