Reflection Paper Gcse
At GCSE level I studied Physical education in which I received 2 GCSE's as I did 2 courses in 2
years. This was accomplished due to my devotion to the subject and hard work which allowed me
to achieve A*'s in the practical parts of the course. However, the physical education theory is the
area of the course that particularly feeds my hunger to learn every aspect of physical education, as it
gives me more potential to be the best teacher possible. Understanding how the body can complement
exercise through nutrition to reach maximum capabilities within the sport as well as living a healthy

GCSE Personal Statement
With GCSE Business, I felt I had finally found a subject I had an affinity with. It brought into
perspective my natural sense of organisation from an early age and a certain business awareness
managing a pocket money budget with an ever changing wish list. Studying this subject through to A
Level has given me the opportunity to further develop business and management skills leaving me
eager to apply them to the commercial world. As Maslow, the motivation theorist said "If you
plan on being anything less than you are capable of being, you will probably be unhappy all the
days of your life". My passion for this subject is what is driving me to pursue it at University with
the ultimate goal of having a successful career in this field.
As part of my A level Applied Business coursework I have discovered what makes an effective
business plan, examining the struggles new businesses face and considering ways in which to
overcome them. Developing these analytical and problem solving skills is...show more content...
This has allowed me to become a role model for younger students. By having to take on additional
responsibilities, whilst preventing them from interfering with my academic studies, I have been
able to develop invaluable time management skills. As part of my Duke of Edinburgh Silver
Award, I secured a volunteer position at Daventry Library. Interacting with the public in a customer
service role helped me to develop communication and problem solving skills, both of which will be
useful to University life, in group work and tutorials. After 6 months they offered me paid part–time
employment, giving me an introduction to the world of work and a first–hand understanding of
salaries and tax whilst working in an ever changing environment. In 2017, I will be travelling to
Ghana to volunteer, necessitating successful fundraising activities in order to cover the costs of the
trip, an experience which will help to develop my enterprise

GCSE Case Study
If the students have failed their GCSE resits as 77% of them do (Wolf, 2011), the students also
have to take another vocational course in order to retake their GCSEs. As there is no Government
funding available to take GCSE as a stand alone qualification and most students cannot pay for it
themselves or do not want to take out a student loan in order to study, this forces students to take
courses that they are not necessarily interested in, just so that they can retake their GCSEs. This
obviously has an impact on the vocational classes in which they enrol.
I believe a major struggle for the current level 2 learners was being unsure of the entry
requirements are for level 3 in childcare. The criteria last year was Maths and English GCSE...show

They are confident that they can achieve this level as they have done so before. This gives them
experience in different subjects and settings, but does not move them on to the next stage, For
example, we have five childcare students who have completed their introduction to early years
level 2, but cannot move onto level 3 in childcare due to their poor GCSE results; so they have
therefore applied for Health and Social Care level 2. This would give them experience in youth
work and adult care and some additional experience in special needs work, but as they want to
work with children some of this knowledge, although interesting, is not relevant to their chosen
career. However, although they can retake their GCSEs again whilst undertaking the course, in the
hope that they will pass the GCSE with a grade C the next time they take it and can then get onto a
level 3 qualification. Of course, this means that very often the learner has run out of funding and
cannot take a level 3 course because they spent two or three years trying to achieve their Maths or
English GCSE at grade C.
The students who take qualifications at the same level as before face another year of not being in the
workforce earning money, potentially frustrated by repetition.

GCSE Reflective Essay
Good evening Donit Dassa,
I am slightly taken aback by your comment: "I did not think it was of a high enough standard for us
to be able to accept you on the Access course."
Was my assessment result not high enough for the Access Course or is it just your sole opinion that
it wasn't?
I am concerned. Although I was suffering from a debilitating migraine, I did answer all the
English part of the assessment and showed all my workings in the Maths part. The algebra was
my main let down. GCSE students are now preparing for their final exams. It is a very stressful
time for all of us. I am shocked at being told that my Access to Higher Education assessment did not
meet the English and Maths Level 2 since I am a student for GCSE Higher English

Gcse Short Story Coursework
My hospital bed was ice cold and the bleak and empty white walls depressed me as the
uncomforting thought that I would have to stay here for maybe another week brought tears to my
eyes. The usual and oppressive smell of disinfectant lingered in the room as I recalled that night in
my head, trying to convince myself it wasn't my fault, as I had done everyday since the accident. It
was the day everything changed and my life was turned upside down. Forever. Provocatively
decorated caravans snaked to their designated pitches where their attached rides, origami giants,
unfurled with a flourish and sprung into life. The warmth of the sun was now a distant but pleasant
memory, and an almost eerie chill enshrouded the scene. The eyes of...show more content...
The moon hung high in the black mid–night sky, the stars shinning bright like streetlights and there
was a soft wind blowing peacefully. Suddenly there was a piecing scream that broke the silence.
And then the shouting and panicked crying began as a grandiose flame rose up, like a beast,
accompanied by an aura of smoke. Everything seemed to slow down as I focused on the mayhem
and chaos that was breaking out rapidly around me. My vision was obscured as the thick black
smoke smothered the Ferris wheel and then I realised that it had stopped. And we were at the top.
The fire itself was burning brightly, consuming the poor innocent people that ran wildly around
trying to escape this hellhole. Everyone started to panic, on lookers were screaming as people
from the rides ran away. A black cloud stood proudly watching over the distressed and scared
families, beginning to cover more and more of the carnival. I moved my hands to wipe my
irritated eyes; my heart racing like it was about to burst out of my chest. I glanced over to Leah,
her usually sparkling smile has disappeared and all colour had drained from her face. She caught
my gaze, her eyes were hazy and the bright blue pupils had turned to a miserable gray. She shook
terrified but I wasn't having this. My hands gripped tightly on the bar, I pushed with all my strength
trying to lift it off us.

Storm Descriptive Essay
Calm After the Storm
Life washes over those who expect it the least. It seeps into the expanse of space and time and steals
the innocence from the young. When I was seven I was playing with time, innocent and vulnerable.
Then life came crashing in and destroyed everything. With water–soaked clothes and tear–streaked
cheeks, I returned home with the knowledge that life has no mercy. Life is not fair. Only the salty
sting of reality to my beaten ego was my companion.
Magnificent, heavenly light filters through the wispy clouds, signifying a new day. The thin clouds
slowly drift apart, presenting a beautiful sky beneath. Speaking out to me, the sky seems to know
every one of my thoughts, my dreams, my darkest fears. The sky is but a canvas of light, creating
a new picture within seconds. Weaving a story through the delicate clouds, the picture grows
beyond the expanse of sky. The colors splay before me, beautiful and simple. Pink hues morph into
vibrant purples as they blend with the beautiful blues. The glittering stretch of sea shines before my
eyes. With every new wave, the light from above whispers promises of riches and sparkling
diamonds. The swift breeze that kisses the sea sends the twinkling light back into the air above.
The ocean strokes land with calm and reassuring hands, lacing water with sand and lifting
seashells in its wake. My heart urges me forward, to walk among the peace, to capture the sweet
smell of sea salt. My brain reasons with the rest of my body. Turning sharply from the lulling water,
I force my feet to leave the warm imprint they have grown to love among the sand. One foot after
the other, I force myself away from the calm and into the storm.
Just ahead, the shingles of my little house come into view. The roof is worn from years of wind
and rain, and the paint is now chipping and old. Harboring memories my brain cannot contain, that
house signifies my love for life. It signifies the love for my family, and the laughter they bring. That
house is my beacon of hope in the stormy weather that is my life. My pace quickens as the air
pushes past me, shoving me aside. Once forgotten waves, now lap at my feet. They call out to me,
their pleas for attention becoming urgent. I turn

GCSE Application Essay
After choosing to study Business Studies as one of my GCSE options as a bit of a random choice,
I quickly fell in love with the subject. I really love the enjoyment of learning about what goes into
running a business behind closed doors and what goes on within all the different functions operating
within a business.
Since accidently falling in love with Business, my involvement and interest in the operations of a
business has always been present; Setting up and managing a business under the Young Enterprise
scheme, partaking in market research for a local vineyard as well as completing work experience
within two different companies. Business, especially within the retail sector, is such a major part of

My team created unique mugs which consisted of a well–loved local landmark and a haiku style
poem. By taking on the role of managing director I was in charge of ensuring that my team knew
what they were doing and by co–ordinating tasks. By studying business at GCSE and at A–level it
allowed me to apply the theory learnt in the classroom in the real operation of a business. There
were many ups and downs along the way. One of the ups was winning the Brighton and Lewes area
finals and progressing into the Sussex finals where we went on to win another 3 awards. In
competing in the competitions I gained so much confidence from presenting in front of an audience
of 100 people consisting of many business owners – something which I never thought I would be
able to do! However, as there is in every business, there were some downs too, with issues arising
in relation to raising finance and meeting tight deadlines consequently meaning I was required to
think outside the box and solve any problems that we were faced. This ensured that the business ran
as efficiently as possible. Through doing this I gained many valuable transferable skills such as
leadership and excellent time

It was a bright hot summer day here in Little Pine First Nation, where the events took place. The
chief and councillor's had organized a fun filled day with family and friends spending it with one
another. As the hot dreadful heat of the day goes by slowly the community is together as one

music that everyone likes. Kids are screaming, parents are cheering, cars and trucks are ramming,
horses are stomping as they too are getting excited for the big day to start. There was a canteen
that I put up for the kids, parents and friends to come and get a cold ice cream or a nice cold

My Growth As A Writer
The Memo will directly address my growth as a writer throughout my time in EH 101–13. It will
also highlight my current strengths and weaknesses in my own personal writing style.
My DevelopmentRhetorical Analysis: This being the first paper I wrote for you, it turned out to be
utter garbage. This was my worst essay because I was overconfident in my own writing ability and
didn't think I had much room to improve on. At the time I felt like it was a top notch essay, but I
have recently gone back and reread it only to notice it as choppy and stale to read. Then the paper
was riddled with comma splices, even after you did a lesson going over how to fix them. It wasn't
out of spite that I kept repeating these mistakes, but instead it was just ignorance on the matter. It
was my goal coming out of that essay to fix those errors and while not perfect, I feel I have
improved in my awareness of the problem. This paper taught me a great deal on how to think more
critically about situations. This new mindset directly came into play in the second essay. I learned
my greatest lesson from this paper. I have so much room for improvement. Now that I can see more
of my errors I can continue to improve and move forwards with my writing abilities.
Literary Analysis: The Literary Analysis was by far my best essay and the one I most enjoyed
writing. The new critical thinking skills I learned in the first essay made writing this paper much
easier. I also found the topics of the
