What is SEO?
SEO stands for “search engine optimization.” It is the process of getting traffic
from the “free,” “organic,” “editorial” or “natural” search results on search
engines.

When you get your content right, you’ve created a solid foundation to support all other SEO
efforts.
Audience:
Who are my target audience? Not all contents are suitable for all age groups
Keywords:
insert keywords and phrases in a precise manner in order for search engine algorithms to
properly crawl, capture and display our content.
Word counts:
Focus on content, not word count, but your product title should not be more than 70 character
and your keywords should not be more than 10 words or phrases
Relevance:
If the content isn't relevant to the product or service don’t waste your time.
Informative:
Quality content will offer value in the form of information
Compelling:
Engaging and compelling content is a must
Well written:
Meaning there are no spelling, grammatical or formatting errors
What we think about product titles?
 Your product title is the first caption the customers look out for on your page
 Product names must be created with search users in mind
 Keep the length of your product titles within 70 characters.
– Consequence
– Anything more than 70 will be replaced in the search result
– Too much words in product title dilutes keywords
 Think like the customer when writing product titles and description
 Research relevant keywords of the particular product on Google
 Make your product title descriptive of the content on the page
 Instill a set of characteristics that must form part of the product title
– an example from ‘fashion’ might look like this;
– Colour Brand and product |Type | Category
– Red Kurt Geiger Bikini Shoes | Courts | Shoes

How Important are our keywords?
Choosing the right keywords is an essential component of effective search engine optimization (SEO).
When someone uses a search engine, they type in a few words that describe what they're looking for. For
example, if a customer types in “Cheap smartphones online in Lagos” those are the keywords.
The search engine will then supply you with a list of pages, with content relevant to what was typed in.
SEO content is all about choosing words that accurately describe what we offer. When you are building a
website, you want to make sure that the name of your practice appears at the top of the search engine's
result list.
Most important things to know when it comes to keywords?
 Use relevant keywords in your content
 Avoid duplicating content (Plagiarism)
 Take into account what your competitors are doing
