The Georgia Department of Human Services is hosting its 14th annual Healthy Communities Summit from June 6-8, 2012 at the University of Georgia. The summit will feature general sessions and workshops on topics related to healthy aging, living, and communities. Sessions will address issues like food security, transportation, nutrition, and business planning for aging networks. The three-day event is open to senior center managers, health care professionals, caregivers, and others involved in aging services. Registration is $187 per person before May 15th and $197 for professionals seeking continuing education credits.

Application has been made for continuing professional education (CPE) for dietitians
from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and Social Workers from and
Certified Heath Educators from NCHEC. Certificate of Attendance will be provided for
all conference attendees.
About the Program
This conference is designed to provide workshops and general sessions on a variety of
topics that will focus on healthy aging and healthy living. We have also expanded our
focus to the healthy community and technologies that support healthy aging.
