conversation - content/message is as important as delivery. should rehearse to
show enthusiasm, confidence, and directness

pronounced facial expression, and stand closer to listeners. contagious
be confident: appear more composed and convey certainty and comfort.
directs attention to message and away from speaker’s behavior - think about

be direct. build rapport with your audience - 1) choosing a message that is
relevant to interests and attitudes, and 2) demonstrating interest and concern for
