Residents and guests took part in a variety of healthy, fun events, like listening to guest speakers, taking
a fitness testing assessment, and enjoying a smoothie demonstration and tasting by Executive Chef Joe

2. Sharing the love
In honor of the birth of England’s new prince,
Touchmark hosted the Royal Baby Shower to
benefit Nokomis Child Care Centers. Touchmark
team members, residents, and the public donated
items, like paper towels, diapers, wipes, toys,
craft items, and clothing for infants to 5-year-olds.
The group also presented checks totaling $245 to
Nokomis. Resident Vi Halvorson knitted baby hats
and booties, and Bob Jordheim, MD, donated a
flatbed cart of items for the Royal Baby Shower.

SilverSneakers® Classic
Join us for the SilverSneakers
Fitness Program. The program
uses music and a variety of
exercises designed to increase
muscular strength, range
of movement, and activities
for daily living. Hand-held
weights, elastic tubing with
handles, and a SilverSneakers
ball are offered for resistance.
Classes are Tuesdays and
Thursdays at 11:10 am.
No charge for club and
SilverSneakers members. For

Touchmark held many events to support the Walk
to End Alzheimer’s. One was a root-beer float
gathering with a free will donation suggestion.
Gerry Sunde helped support the cause.

This safe, challenging, waterbased workout is cardioconditioning, body-toning,
and most of all, exhilarating!
Classes are offered Mondays
and Wednesdays at 5:30 pm
