Side Note: The school is moving to a one-to-one platform in the next year or two, so personal devices will
not be necessary.
3. Platform to use in School
• Google Chromebooks
• The school will be using Chromebooks to
go One-to-One
• Chromebooks are relatively inexpensive,
and companies work to sell Chromebooks
in bulk, at discounted rates.
• Google Classrooms, and other google
products readily work with these devices.
• The attached keyboard is a necessity for
writing in the classroom.
• Apps are readily available and growing at
a rapid pace
• Google is investing heavily in education
products for the future.
4. Accommodating all Students
As mentioned earlier, the school is moving to a one-to-one format, so all
students will have their own device to use.
In the mean-time, students who do not have access to a personal device
will be allowed to use a device provided by the school. There are multiple
chrome-books to be used from the school.
It will be the teachers responsibility to ensure each student has a device to
use.
If the student forgets their device, and there are not enough school
provided devices to accommodate the students, then students will partner
up to complete the assignments.
5. Grouping Students
Many times, the grouping of students
will depend on the assignment.
Students will work individually to
complete assignments, but may work
with partners if they are struggling, as a
way to scaffold.
Teams may be used if it a larger
assignment with multiple elements, or
teamwork needs to be built. These may
be formed at random or based on the
individual skills of the students.
6. 3rd Grade Appropriate Apps.
• MindMup 2.0- Create storyboards and graphic
organizers
• Monster Math Flash Cards- Great math fact

• Type Fu- a instructional typing game, that
teachers students to type quickly and
accurately
• ExitTicket- A interactive response system that

• Quizlet- An interactive app that allows students

through games and challenges
• CK-12- This app. allows students to learn at
their own pace. An assignment can be assigned,
