The Sioux Indians lived in tepees made of buffalo skin and hunted buffalo as their main food source. They experienced hot summers around 125 degrees and cold winters down to 30 degrees at night. Family structure involved single families living in each tepee. They made tools and clothing from bones and deer/buffalo skins and communicated through word pictures while believing in guardian spirits like Takuskanskan.
