AD GUIDELINES
GENERAL GUIDELINES
• We accept SWF files published as Flash 10 or below and using Actionscript 3 or below. Please indicate
which version of Actionscript is being used when providing files.
• For best results, we recommend having the button encompass the entire ad area throughout the entire
timeline. Buttons must have the clickTAG expression
Adding the clickTag to your Flash file:
Create and label a button the size of your ad on the top layer of your Flash file.

• Spanish-language only ads are strongly preferred.
• Ads that contain words in any other language will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
• All graphic creative (including backup images) should have a 1px border if their color tone is not well
contrasted with the background of the page.
• A back up image (GIF or JPG) should usually accompany any inline Flash ad and it will be served to
users without Javascript or the Flash plug-in on their browser.
• Do not embed any URLs in the Flash file.
• Make sure the dimensions of the movie meet the specs for the ad you are creating.
• Frame rate may not exceed 24 frames per second due to performance considerations. Banners that
exceed 24 frames per second will not be accepted. 18 frames per second is preferred.
• 3 loop animation max. Total animation time cannot exceed 15 seconds.
• Ad content must not mimic page content nor computer functionalities.
• Use clear call-to-actions, tell your audience exactly what they need to do with your ad.
For example, ‘Click to play game’, ‘Roll over to see more’, etc.
• Any audio or video MUST be user-initiated on click and have fully functioning play, pause, stop and replay
controls.
RICH MEDIA UNITS
• For expandable units, the landing spots can be a maximum width of 2X the initial ad size.
• Events should be user-initiated (on-click) and have consistent entry and exit mechanisms:
roll-over entry entails roll-out exit, click entry entails click exit.
• All ads must have a visible "Close" button located at the top right corner of the
non-expanded/expanded unit.
