and coffeeshops. Street parking is limited but the shop is easily accessible by public
transport from downtown: CTA Red line north towards Howard, get off at Fullerton
and walk east (towards the lake) on Fullerton two blocks to Halsted, turn left (north)
and walk four blocks north to Wrightwood, turn right (east) and walk about one
block to the studio. Or take the CTA #22 bus north towards Howard, get off at Clark
& Wrightwood (about 30 stops), and walk west (away from the lake) on Wrightwood

Sifu is a new shop in the Andersonville neighborhood. They stock a small but nice
range of fibers, including a wonderful color selection of Malabrigo and Cascade
yarns. Other brands are Rowan, Misti Alpaca, Nashua, Harrisville, Dale of Norway,
and several local/regional designer yarns. Lisa, the store owner, is an experienced
knitter who has two designs in the current Vogue Knitting magazine; she is a friendly
teacher and has a big table in the back of the shop where you can sit and work on
your projects. The store is well spaced, with room for approximately 10-15 people to
browse comfortably at the same time. Sifu will have a special display of vintage pat-
terns, vintage bias tapes and trims over PR Weekend. The Andersonville neighbor-
hood is well stocked with antique, home design/décor, and coffee shops; it also is
home to the Swedish American Museum (the Museum has a small selection of yarn
as well). Sifu is located on the southern part of the Andersonville neighborhood, University Center is conveniently located to banks, ATMs, convenience stores,
eight miles north of downtown. It is accessible from downtown by CTA bus #22 pharmacies and shipping centers. Below are just a few near University Center. The
