several hospitals managed by Community Health Systems, Inc. Most
recently, he served as the interim CEO of Sparks Health System in Fort

Regional Medical Center in Webster, Texas. Alongside his day-to-day
professional activities, Tim Schmidt maintains memberships in
organizations such as the American College of Healthcare Executives
(ACHE).
In its efforts to advance health care management worldwide, ACHE
oversees a variety of educational initiatives, including its FACHE
credential program, which gives health care executives the opportunity
to demonstrate their commitment to professional excellence. To be
eligible to apply for the FACHE credential, an individual must be
employed as a health care manager, have at least two years of previous
management experience, and possess a masterâs or another graduate
degree.

EXECUTIVES
ď Applicants will only be considered for a FACHE credential
once they have submitted supporting education and
employment documentation, passed ACHEâs Board of
Governorâs Examination, and met other ACHE
membership and community involvement requirements.
Prospective fellows are also required to take continuing
education courses and maintain ongoing employment in
health care management.
After earning their FACHE credential, fellows must
continue to take part in professional development, health
care, and community activities to qualify for recertification
