Hard Work– Key to Success
Success never comes with an easy way. It is something that we all want to achieve. Every body
has their own believe that they follow most in their lives to achieve more. I believe only way to
succeed in life is to work hard. There are many things I want to achieve in my life and through my
life journey I realized that hard work is the only way to achieve it. Weneed a lots of efforts and
dedication to get it. There were many incident happened in my life when only through hard work
only, I solve all that problems whether it was related to my education or related to any other my
interest. There are many things in life, which is necessary, but there is no alternate to hard work.
My grandfather who is inspiration for me always said that if you work hard, good things will
happen in your life and I always believe in him. In my school days I believed that working hard
means study a lot and getting a good grades. But as time went, I also realized that life is not all
about getting good grades. There are more than my imaginations in the world. To be at a top
position I need to get skilled and for that I need to work hard. When I was in school, once there was
an interstate quiz competition in my city. I was selected from my school and was confident about
win. But when I met other students I realized that there were many and thousands of other students
who are more intelligent than me. Unfortunately our school disqualified in the first round and I was

The Importance Of Ideology
It is said that one person with a strong belief in their ideology is more powerful than twenty people
with a thought. An ideology is ideas, ideals, doctrines, beliefs, myths or symbols of a community
and a large group that explains how society should work. Individuals with strong beliefs in their
ideologies have caused many life altering events in the history of the world. Wars, revolution, 9/11,
Sandy Hook and other various life–changing events such as The Civil Rights Movement and
LBGTQ pride. Regardless of if the events were considered good or bad, they occurred due to the
individuals' beliefs and thought processing. Ideology plays an enormous role in every individuals'
daily life.
Ideologies can be considered similar to principles that people live by. Ideologies also offer a
political and cultural blueprint for a desired social order. Ideology is the basis of "public opinion" or
common sense; which usually remains invisible to most people within society. Some examples of
ideologies are socialism, communism, anarchism, fascism, nationalism, liberalism, conservatism, and
religion. Ideologies are neither right or wrong. The meaning of ideology is often debated. Political
scientists cannot agree on whether ideology is a positive, negative, or neutral feature in modern
society. Although political scientists have not come to an agreement on an exact definition for
ideology, their opinions support the idea that political ideologies are usually simply stated and
oriented

Raising Children Is Not An Easy Task
Raising children is not an easy task and there are many different routes one can take when choosing
what kind of home the child will grow up in. Parenting styles vary anywhere from parents being over
controlling and strict, to an easy–going parenting style, to even helicopter parents. All these different
types of parents raise their children with the same goal in mind; parents just want the best for their
kid. The fact that parents want the best for their kid never changes; what changes is what the parent
thinks is best for their kid.
To begin, Amy Chua's 'Why Chinese Mothers Are Superior' reveals an extremely strict side of
parenting where Chua controls her daughter 's life by telling them what to do and when to do it. In
the article Chua lists the multitude of things her two daughters were not allowed to do, including:
attend a sleepover or playdate, choose their own extracurricular activities, and get any grade less
than an A. According to this article, 'chinese mothers' are superior because they don't have to worry
about damaging their child 's self esteem. Chua states, "Chinese mothers can say to their daughters,
'Hey fatty– loose some weight.' By contrast, western parents have to tiptoe around the issue, talking
in terms of 'health' and never ever mentioning the f–word, and their kids still end up in therapy for
eating disorders and negative self–image." This quote shows how the 'chinese mother' parenting
technique allows the parent to give constructive criticism

Loneliness Essay
To be lonely is an easy thing, being alone is another matter entirely. To understand this, first one
must understand the difference between loneliness and being alone. To be alone means that your
are not in the company of anyone else. You are one. But loneliness can happen anytime, anywhere.
You can be lonely in a crowd, lonely with friends, lonely with family. You can even be lonely
while with loved ones. For feeling lonely, is in essence a feeling of being alone. As thought you
were one and you feel as though you will always be that way. Loneliness can be one of the most
destructive feelings humans are capable of feeling. For loneliness can lead to depression, suicide,
and even to raging out and hurting friends and/or...show more content...
Generally almost all loneliness can be traced back to low or below "average" self–esteem.
Chronically lonely people will usually have low opinions of themselves. They may think of
themselves as unintelligent, unattractive, broken, unwanted, not worthy of good things, no good,
unable to do anything right, and/or socially isolated. Unlike many other emotionally hurting people,
the chronically lonely usually know what is wrong, but like many others they don't believe they can
do anything to fix it, or, circling back to the low self–esteem, they may also believe they are not
worth of happiness.
It takes the strong support of a good friend(s) or other loved one(s) to help the lonely conquer their
feelings. Simply trying to counteract the low self–esteem verbally will not do it, though, for in their
down state, they will see the person as just trying to be nice or spare their feelings. The lonely
must be shown in more subtle, yet clear ways that they are not the useless person they perceive
themselves to be. For example, with a person who feels particularly unloved and unwanted,
someone close to them should try to take a little extra time to spend with that person and try to set
aside a little extra time to talk to the person.
Nothing special needs to be said or done, simply spending time, willing and without having been
asked, allows the lonely one to see that they are loved. That they are worthy of being associated with
and that there are

What it Means to be an American Essay
What it Means to be an American What does it mean to be an American? In my eyes to be an
American means to have privileges, rights, and freedom. America isn't perfect, but it is one of the
only countries that have rights given to people of different diversities and gender. America does not
have tremendous poverty. Instead we have choices given to us by the people who fought and died
for the American people. Without George Washington and the other patriots who planted the first
seed in the ground and help plant the American nation we live in now who knows what America
would be like now. One of the most important and well–known facts about America is freedom. We
are granted the freedom or choice in our...show more content...
The people in America are given something that not everybody's given. A chance to be successful
and to survive, and most countries are not given that chance. Being in America offers a lot to the
people. One of the most important right America offers to America is the chance to be ourselves
and to live in a place were small wars are not going on between states or communities. The U.S.
gives us a chance to be fed. The people in America are not surrounded by a majority of starving
people. Instead we have one of the most powerful economy in the world. America offers so much
to the people who live in the U.S., but America will always be full of criticism, violence, and
people who are offended by everything. America still seems to manage to be one of the world's
best nations. The first Americans planned America to be as successful as it is, but for America to
be more peaceful. America is not one of the most peaceful places, but it is not the most dangerous
place to live. Even political parties lie and cheat each other. A lot of the Americans are greedy,
because they take advantages of what America offers to their citizens. Even though America is not
perfect I am still glad to live in the U.S.

My Best Day Essay : My Perfect Day
Have you ever wondered what a perfect day would be like? An everyday routine starts to get
annoying and boring, especially if you don't get a day off. At the moment, my routine is to wake
up early, get ready for school, go to school, and after a long day come back home. From the time I
get home which is around two in the afternoon and by the time I go to sleep, it all consists of doing
homework. Sometimes I wish I can at least take a day off and relax, with having no worries. The
idea of a perfect day for me should be a day to get rid of stress, and should be an unforgettable day.
As the sun started to come out, I knew it was time to start my day. The perfect day that I've always
dreamed of was going to be today. I looked at my...show more content...
In the meantime, while I was waiting for my food to get here I went to the kitchen to wash the
dishes that I left in the morning. After my food got delivered I went back into my bed and started
eating my orange chicken with rice. By that time, I was already in the fourth movie, all of a
sudden it was really dark outside, but I was not scared at all, even though I was home alone. Now
it was around ten at night and I had finished watching the Halloween series. I turned my tv off and
started playing really loud music on my speaker. I knew it was nighttime and the neighbors might
complain, but at the moment I didn't care about anything. I enjoy listening to depressing songs
specially from Coldplay which gets me in the mood to cry. My eyes began to close so I turned my
speaker off as well as the light and I went to sleep. At last, a perfect day for me should be different
from any ordinary day, and should enjoy it like as if it was my last. I see a perfect day as not
something outstanding, but more of like a lazy day. This day was one of the best days I've ever had
because it's been forever since I've taken a break. Many people might do something like this on a
regular day, but for me it was one of the days where I got to stay in bed, relax, and let all of the stress
out. Days like this doesn't hurt and everyone has their own ideal day, but for me is all about being
comfortable. As long as, I have a day off

Life Is Not Easy For Any Of Us
"Life is not easy for any of us. But what of that? We must have perseverance and above all
confidence in ourselves. We must believe that we are gifted for something and that this thing must
be attained" said Marie Curie, who was one of the brightest minds of her time. Her words of
wisdom continue to have a profound effect on my life and no doubt inspire many others around the
world to persevere. Working on computers from years, I believe that I have been gifted Computer
Science and I choose it not just as my career path but also as a lifelong passion. Now it's the right
time for me to use the knowledge acquired from experience to pursue Global Master's degree in
Computer Science. This will be a major step towards my aspiration of making significant
contributions to active research as well as the industry in the field of Software Development.
Since my childhood days, I had a strong penchant to be an Engineer. I was amazed by the working
of computers s when I used it for the first time during my school days. My journey in the field of
computing started with 'C ' programming and going forward I chose Computer Science in my
pre–university as my major subject. High academic results in the pre–university helped me secure an
admission in the well–known BNM Institute of Technology, one of highly sought after institutes
affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University with Information Science as my specialization. I
would not hesitate to say that I have spent the best years

Living With Less By Graham Hill
I always knew people liked to consume more than what they need, but never really considered
how it affects our environment. Until I read an article by Graham Hill called "Living with Less.
A lot Less." In this article, Hill argues that individuals obtain products one doesn't need. Secondly,
he mentions how purchasing these products won't make you happy, but can do the exact
opposite. Lastly, Hill argues how living with less merchandise can make us feel and live happier.
As a result, I compared my life to his and realized he's right having less might give us the
opportunity to explore further. I agree with Hill's argument that one tends to buy more than what
they use. I, for instance, am one of those individuals. Hill mentions this by saying "Members of
every socioeconomic bracket can and do deluge themselves with products" (Hill 1). For instance,
I remember when I received my first payment from babysitting. I was thrilled with the idea of
finally being able to rely on myself to buy all the things I wanted. So, I headed towards the mall
and went on a shopping spree. As a result, I arrived home with bags of merchandise as I unloaded
them I became aware I had bought a lot of things I didn't need. As the days passed I became
conscious of how I didn't use much of what I had bought but bought them because I liked the idea of
being able to buy whatever I wanted without having anyone tell me what I couldn't buy. Not only
does Hills argument make sense but also makes an important

Losing Someone Close Is Not Any Easy Task
Losing someone close is not any easy task. I always looked in the mirror and told myself, "It will
get better, I will make it through this storm." Only to slowly be brought back into reality and try
understand that they are never going to come back. You get comfortable with it, after having to
do it every day, multiple times. Waking up to call a name that will not be mentioned again
because it is too painful to rethink. It seems like every day becomes harder and even more
difficult to overcome. I thought that we would live forever, that every person would stay healthy
and live forever. I come to realize extremely fast that I was very wrong. I woke up one warm,
sunny morning and did my usual morning routine. At age seven, there isn't too much to do
besides brush my hair and teeth. I got dressed and ate a small, quick breakfast to accompany my
mother to run errands. After going to various different stores, we eventually went to meet my
sister's father in order to get a little cash for the babysitter. Finally we go home and sit in the living
room to rest after being in the blistering sun. Everyone sitting around the room, talking amongst
each other and watching television. There my dear mother sat on the couch, inhaling the terrible
toxins of her cigarette. Talking to my grandma, her mother, about the upcoming plans of this week.
Her lips began to turn a light shade of blue, my mom sitting there with a dazed look on her face as
the color of blue on her lips begin to darken.

Essay Growing Up
When I Grow Up..
"Being 'grown up' isn't as fun as the idea of growing up."
–AmberGrace Seguin
Remember when we were young and all we could think of was growing up and getting to do
'grownup' things? We spent our whole childhood thinking of what we would do when we finally
'grew up', and here we are, almost completely grown up and we still haven't made up our mind of
what it is we will do when we grow up. We've painted this pretty little picture in our head of what
it'll be like when we eventually do grow up, and when it finally comes for the picture to be taken off
the wall and put into action, it's not nearly as fun as creating the painting.

"The day the child realizes that all adults are imperfect, he becomes an adolescent; the day he
forgives them, he becomes an adult; the day he forgives himself, he becomes wise." –Alden Nowlan
As we continue to grow up, we learn that being grown up is not as we imagined it. We once
convinced ourselves that growing up was the goal to achieve, and life would be much better once
we were in fact grown up. When we in fact do grow up, we think back at our youth and laugh
because we thought growing up was the most wondrous thing to accomplish, but now, more than
ever, we crave for our youth; for the days we would sit in the grass and daydream of what we are to
become when we grow up; and finally for the days when life was simple and we could imagine it
any which way we wanted it and no one could do a thing about it.

Persuasive Essay On Mental Illness
Living with a mental illness can be hard, but it is even harder if there isn't any access to the
proper treatment needed in order to get better. It could result with the person committing a crime
and ending up behind bars. The severity of a mental illness the may have ranges. Many people
who suffer from one can be a danger to themselves or to those around them. It is up to a mental
health professional or an officer to ensure that they receive the help that they need. In order to do
so, they should place those with a mental illness in a mental health facility. There are many people
who are arrested due to their actions which may look incriminating, but it is a result of the illness
they may possess. When the person is arrested and taken into custody, gets background checked
and it is seen that they have a medical record that states they have some sort of mental illness the
officers should take them to a mental health hospital instead of taking them to jail or prison. By
placing them in a jail or prison it will make their mental illness worse due to the trauma they will
experience while they stay there. As where if they are taken to a mental hospital it increases their
chances of getting better and not getting arrested again. The people whom have a mental health issue
and choose not to go and seek treatment put their life in danger as well as with the people they are
surrounded with. In an article called "Involuntary Commitment of People with Mental Illness:

Writing Is Easy By Steve Martin Summary
The essay "Writing is Easy", by Steve Martin, is a hysterical essay that is comical in a way that I
don't think the author intended. I think the essay is funny mainly because there is a part that is
ironic for me that I can relate to. Although there is other parts in the essay that could be humorous
as well, I couldn't get over one certain section of it. The funniest segment of the story is, "Go to an
already published novel and find a sentence that you absolutely adore. Copy it down in your
manuscript. Usually, that sentence will lead you to another sentence, and pretty soon your own
ideas will start to flow. If they don't, copy down the next sentence in the novel. You can safely use
up to three sentences of someone else's work – unless you're

essential social phenomenon to study. The film Easy A explores how a high school student turns to

exclusion is a motivating factor for Olive to turn to deviance. However, she isn 't the only
character to do so. Olive first lies about losing her virginity to her best friend, but the first real
deviant act comes when she and her gay friend Brandon deceive the whole school. Olive quickly
gains popularity when most of the student body witnesses, from the other side of the door, her

them to think that Brandon, her fake sex partner, is not gay in hopes that this very public display

openly gay student in high school, Brandon is subjected to torment, discrimination and
marginalisation. Consistent deviance often leads to marginalisation, and gender deviance is a
prime example. Brandon was beat up at school and rejected by friends. Gay individuals have long
been marginalised by not receiving equal rights by law, and are habitually marginalised by the
general public due to homosexuality being considered gender deviance. Taywaditep 's (2001) study
suggested that due to the marginalisation gay boys received throughout their childhood and
adolescence, many began to appear more gender–conforming towards adulthood to avoid
marginalisation. Gender conformity is

Success Is Not Always Come Easy
Main Intro: It does not matter what your age is, where you come from, or where you are living right
now. We all share something in common; the desire to be successful. The dictionary definition of
success is "the favorable or prosperous termination of attempts or endeavors; the accomplishment of
one's goals" (Dictionary.com). Some people define success as being happy, loving, faithful, wealthy,
famous, and powerful. Even though success can be achieved by anyone, it does not always come
easy. First, to become successful you have to be able to accept failure, and move on. Them you
have put in the hard work to achieve greatness, not take the easy path. Finally having the courage to
sacrifice things you love, will bring you one step closer to...show more content...
To succeed, you have to be able to endure and overcome the challenges life throws at you, because,
in the end, all of that hard work and suffering will pay off.
Work 2: If individuals do not work hard to succeed, then success cannot be achieved. If we put
hours or years into hard work, it will impress others, and show us that we can reach our goals.
Michael Phelps, known as one of the greatest Olympic athletes of all time is the definition of hard
work. He started swimming at the age of seven, and now every time he swims in a competitive
race, he sets new world records that cannot be achieved by any old swimmer. Phelps trained
almost every day of the year, and this did not only include swimming. Michael Phelps is a good
representation of how hard work leads to success because he is now not only known as one of the
greatest swimmers but the greatest Olympic athlete of all time.
Work 3: Academic success is what every student wants, but is something not all students are prepared
to work for. Most students believe that the successful people do not put any work into their
academics. They think that the successful students are only gifted, and everything comes easy for
them. That ideology is false because the most successful students put the most work in. It does not
matter how intelligent one is, it matters how much effort you put into achieving your academic
goals. Intelligent people are not born with everything stored inside their head. They receive

My Business Idea
In my coursework I intend to start my own business. I will devise my own business plan which

No businesses can be set up without finance. Most people who start their own business

A Very Easy Death : Perspective
A Very Easy Death: Perspective
In this interpretation of Simone de Beauvoir 's mother 's horrible decent to death, Beauvoir finds out
her Maman is taken to the hospital for a broken bone after a fall, instead the fact that her mother has
intestinal cancer is revealed. After many surgeries, her mother's suffering is only drawn out. The
author ponders on the virtue of doing so, in conflict with condescending doctors while empathizing
with overburdened nurses. Simone de Beauvoir gives us a reflective and somewhat detached
depiction of the final days in the life of her declining mother. Interwoven throughout the novel is the
escalating succession of the authors mother dying of cancer, there are also recollections of the
relationships of younger years among herself, sister, and parents.
Sprinkled throughout the account of Beauvoir`s experience, it is easy to see the many difficulties
that occur within the relationships of doctors, health care staff, family and friends. This repertoire
offers a profoundly private account of the, anguish, remorse, and frustration that is often associated
with the journey of a loved one to his or her demise. The account is simplistic and to the point; with
the frank and truthful visualization and rumination one would experience under similar
circumstances. There is a moral dilemma initiated at the beginning of Beauvoir's hospital experience
with her mother, which not only includes deception on the part of her and her sister, but dishonesty

Meditation Essay
Meditation is an age–old practice that has renewed itself in many different cultures and times.
Despite its age, however, there remains a mystery and some ambiguity as to what it is, or even how
one performs it. The practice and tradition of meditation dates back thousands of years having
appeared in many eastern traditions. Meditation's ancient roots cloud its origins from being
attributed to a sole inventor or religion, though Bon, Hindu, Shinto, Dao, and later, Buddhism are
responsible for its development. Its practice has permeated almost all major world religions, but
under different names. It has become a practice without borders, influencing millions with its

Regardless of a new capitalism, which has erupted around meditation, the practice has provided a
mental oasis to millions of people strained and made anxious by the stresses of modern life.
Meditation is the practice of "bringing the mind home . . . meant to awaken in us the sky–like nature
of the mind, and to introduce us to that which we really are, our unchanging pure awareness, which
underlies the whole of life and death." (Rinpoche, 2002). Its goal is to relieve the suffering of the
mind and lead its practitioners to the enlightenment found by Siddhartha Guatama or the Buddha
while he sat beneath the Bodi tree. The mind's home in meditation is a clear, lucid, unaltered state in
which the fragmented frames of thought that usually circulates in the untrained mind are set aside
and forced out. A mind free of worry and apprehension is at peace and free of suffering. A number
of physical and mental exercises are used to bring the mind to this lucid state of natural existence.
The four objects of consideration and awareness when meditating are the body, feelings, state of the
mind, and the mind's contents.
Body positioning during meditation has practical and traditional roots. The posture assumed during
meditation resembles the crossed leg position of the Buddha. Although there are many variations of
posture and hand placement, they all attempt to create and emphasize the connection

Every body has their own believe that they follow most in their lives to achieve more. I believe only way to succeed in life is to work hard. There are many things I want to achieve in my life and through my life journey I realized that hard work is the only way to achieve it. Weneed a lots of efforts and dedication to get it. There were many incident happened in my life when only through hard work only, I solve all that problems whether it was related to my education or related to any other my interest. My grandfather who is inspiration for me always said that if you work hard, good things will happen in your life and I always believe in him. Unfortunately our school disqualified in the first round and I was too Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. The Importance Of Ideology It is said that one person with a strong belief in their ideology is more powerful than twenty people with a thought. An ideology is ideas, ideals, doctrines, beliefs, myths or symbols of a community and a large group that explains how society should work. Individuals with strong beliefs in their ideologies have caused many life altering events in the history of the world. Wars, revolution, 9/11, Sandy Hook and other various life–changing events such as The Civil Rights Movement and LBGTQ pride. Regardless of if the events were considered good or bad, they occurred due to the individuals' beliefs and thought processing. Ideology plays an enormous role in every individuals' daily life. Ideologies can be considered similar to principles that people live by. Ideologies also offer a political and cultural blueprint for a desired social order. Ideology is the basis of "public opinion" or common sense; which usually remains invisible to most people within society. Some examples of ideologies are socialism, communism, anarchism, fascism, nationalism, liberalism, conservatism, and religion. Ideologies are neither right or wrong. The meaning of ideology is often debated. Political scientists cannot agree on whether ideology is a positive, negative, or neutral feature in modern society. Although political scientists have not come to an agreement on an exact definition for ideology, their opinions support the idea that political ideologies are usually simply stated and oriented Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. Raising Children Is Not An Easy Task Raising children is not an easy task and there are many different routes one can take when choosing what kind of home the child will grow up in. Parenting styles vary anywhere from parents being over controlling and strict, to an easy–going parenting style, to even helicopter parents. All these different types of parents raise their children with the same goal in mind; parents just want the best for their kid. The fact that parents want the best for their kid never changes; what changes is what the parent thinks is best for their kid. To begin, Amy Chua's 'Why Chinese Mothers Are Superior' reveals an extremely strict side of parenting where Chua controls her daughter 's life by telling them what to do and when to do it. In the article Chua lists the multitude of things her two daughters were not allowed to do, including: attend a sleepover or playdate, choose their own extracurricular activities, and get any grade less than an A. According to this article, 'chinese mothers' are superior because they don't have to worry about damaging their child 's self esteem. Chua states, "Chinese mothers can say to their daughters, 'Hey fatty– loose some weight.' By contrast, western parents have to tiptoe around the issue, talking in terms of 'health' and never ever mentioning the f–word, and their kids still end up in therapy for eating disorders and negative self–image." This quote shows how the 'chinese mother' parenting technique allows the parent to give constructive criticism Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. Loneliness Essay To be lonely is an easy thing, being alone is another matter entirely. To understand this, first one must understand the difference between loneliness and being alone. To be alone means that your are not in the company of anyone else. You are one. But loneliness can happen anytime, anywhere. You can be lonely in a crowd, lonely with friends, lonely with family. You can even be lonely while with loved ones. For feeling lonely, is in essence a feeling of being alone. As thought you were one and you feel as though you will always be that way. Loneliness can be one of the most destructive feelings humans are capable of feeling. For loneliness can lead to depression, suicide, and even to raging out and hurting friends and/or...show more content... Generally almost all loneliness can be traced back to low or below "average" self–esteem. Chronically lonely people will usually have low opinions of themselves. They may think of themselves as unintelligent, unattractive, broken, unwanted, not worthy of good things, no good, unable to do anything right, and/or socially isolated. Unlike many other emotionally hurting people, the chronically lonely usually know what is wrong, but like many others they don't believe they can do anything to fix it, or, circling back to the low self–esteem, they may also believe they are not worth of happiness. It takes the strong support of a good friend(s) or other loved one(s) to help the lonely conquer their feelings. Simply trying to counteract the low self–esteem verbally will not do it, though, for in their down state, they will see the person as just trying to be nice or spare their feelings. The lonely must be shown in more subtle, yet clear ways that they are not the useless person they perceive themselves to be. For example, with a person who feels particularly unloved and unwanted, someone close to them should try to take a little extra time to spend with that person and try to set aside a little extra time to talk to the person. Nothing special needs to be said or done, simply spending time, willing and without having been asked, allows the lonely one to see that they are loved. That they are worthy of being associated with and that there are Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. What it Means to be an American Essay What it Means to be an American What does it mean to be an American? In my eyes to be an American means to have privileges, rights, and freedom. America isn't perfect, but it is one of the only countries that have rights given to people of different diversities and gender. America does not have tremendous poverty. Instead we have choices given to us by the people who fought and died for the American people. Without George Washington and the other patriots who planted the first seed in the ground and help plant the American nation we live in now who knows what America would be like now. One of the most important and well–known facts about America is freedom. We are granted the freedom or choice in our...show more content... The people in America are given something that not everybody's given. A chance to be successful and to survive, and most countries are not given that chance. Being in America offers a lot to the people. One of the most important right America offers to America is the chance to be ourselves and to live in a place were small wars are not going on between states or communities. The U.S. gives us a chance to be fed. The people in America are not surrounded by a majority of starving people. Instead we have one of the most powerful economy in the world. America offers so much to the people who live in the U.S., but America will always be full of criticism, violence, and people who are offended by everything. America still seems to manage to be one of the world's best nations. The first Americans planned America to be as successful as it is, but for America to be more peaceful. America is not one of the most peaceful places, but it is not the most dangerous place to live. Even political parties lie and cheat each other. A lot of the Americans are greedy, because they take advantages of what America offers to their citizens. Even though America is not perfect I am still glad to live in the U.S. Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. My Best Day Essay : My Perfect Day Have you ever wondered what a perfect day would be like? An everyday routine starts to get annoying and boring, especially if you don't get a day off. At the moment, my routine is to wake up early, get ready for school, go to school, and after a long day come back home. From the time I get home which is around two in the afternoon and by the time I go to sleep, it all consists of doing homework. Sometimes I wish I can at least take a day off and relax, with having no worries. The idea of a perfect day for me should be a day to get rid of stress, and should be an unforgettable day. As the sun started to come out, I knew it was time to start my day. The perfect day that I've always dreamed of was going to be today. I looked at my...show more content... In the meantime, while I was waiting for my food to get here I went to the kitchen to wash the dishes that I left in the morning. After my food got delivered I went back into my bed and started eating my orange chicken with rice. By that time, I was already in the fourth movie, all of a sudden it was really dark outside, but I was not scared at all, even though I was home alone. Now it was around ten at night and I had finished watching the Halloween series. I turned my tv off and started playing really loud music on my speaker. I knew it was nighttime and the neighbors might complain, but at the moment I didn't care about anything. I enjoy listening to depressing songs specially from Coldplay which gets me in the mood to cry. My eyes began to close so I turned my speaker off as well as the light and I went to sleep. At last, a perfect day for me should be different from any ordinary day, and should enjoy it like as if it was my last. I see a perfect day as not something outstanding, but more of like a lazy day. This day was one of the best days I've ever had because it's been forever since I've taken a break. Many people might do something like this on a regular day, but for me it was one of the days where I got to stay in bed, relax, and let all of the stress out. Days like this doesn't hurt and everyone has their own ideal day, but for me is all about being comfortable. As long as, I have a day off Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 8. Living With Less By Graham Hill I always knew people liked to consume more than what they need, but never really considered how it affects our environment. Until I read an article by Graham Hill called "Living with Less. A lot Less." In this article, Hill argues that individuals obtain products one doesn't need. Secondly, he mentions how purchasing these products won't make you happy, but can do the exact opposite. Lastly, Hill argues how living with less merchandise can make us feel and live happier. As a result, I compared my life to his and realized he's right having less might give us the opportunity to explore further. I agree with Hill's argument that one tends to buy more than what they use. I, for instance, am one of those individuals. Hill mentions this by saying "Members of every socioeconomic bracket can and do deluge themselves with products" (Hill 1). For instance, I remember when I received my first payment from babysitting. I was thrilled with the idea of finally being able to rely on myself to buy all the things I wanted. So, I headed towards the mall and went on a shopping spree. As a result, I arrived home with bags of merchandise as I unloaded them I became aware I had bought a lot of things I didn't need. As the days passed I became conscious of how I didn't use much of what I had bought but bought them because I liked the idea of being able to buy whatever I wanted without having anyone tell me what I couldn't buy. Only to slowly be brought back into reality and try understand that they are never going to come back. You get comfortable with it, after having to do it every day, multiple times. Waking up to call a name that will not be mentioned again because it is too painful to rethink. It seems like every day becomes harder and even more difficult to overcome. I thought that we would live forever, that every person would stay healthy and live forever. I come to realize extremely fast that I was very wrong. I woke up one warm, sunny morning and did my usual morning routine. At age seven, there isn't too much to do besides brush my hair and teeth. I got dressed and ate a small, quick breakfast to accompany my mother to run errands. After going to various different stores, we eventually went to meet my sister's father in order to get a little cash for the babysitter. Finally we go home and sit in the living room to rest after being in the blistering sun. Everyone sitting around the room, talking amongst each other and watching television. There my dear mother sat on the couch, inhaling the terrible toxins of her cigarette. Talking to my grandma, her mother, about the upcoming plans of this week. Her lips began to turn a light shade of blue, my mom sitting there with a dazed look on her face as the color of blue on her lips begin to darken. Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 11. Essay Growing Up When I Grow Up.. "Being 'grown up' isn't as fun as the idea of growing up." –AmberGrace Seguin Remember when we were young and all we could think of was growing up and getting to do 'grownup' things? We spent our whole childhood thinking of what we would do when we finally 'grew up', and here we are, almost completely grown up and we still haven't made up our mind of what it is we will do when we grow up. We've painted this pretty little picture in our head of what it'll be like when we eventually do grow up, and when it finally comes for the picture to be taken off the wall and put into action, it's not nearly as fun as creating the painting. "Growing old is mandatory, growing up is optional." –Anonymous We all have the choice...show more content... "The day the child realizes that all adults are imperfect, he becomes an adolescent; the day he forgives them, he becomes an adult; the day he forgives himself, he becomes wise." –Alden Nowlan As we continue to grow up, we learn that being grown up is not as we imagined it. We once convinced ourselves that growing up was the goal to achieve, and life would be much better once we were in fact grown up. When we in fact do grow up, we think back at our youth and laugh because we thought growing up was the most wondrous thing to accomplish, but now, more than ever, we crave for our youth; for the days we would sit in the grass and daydream of what we are to become when we grow up; and finally for the days when life was simple and we could imagine it any which way we wanted it and no one could do a thing about it. • 12. Persuasive Essay On Mental Illness Living with a mental illness can be hard, but it is even harder if there isn't any access to the proper treatment needed in order to get better. It could result with the person committing a crime and ending up behind bars. The severity of a mental illness the may have ranges. Many people who suffer from one can be a danger to themselves or to those around them. It is up to a mental health professional or an officer to ensure that they receive the help that they need. In order to do so, they should place those with a mental illness in a mental health facility. There are many people who are arrested due to their actions which may look incriminating, but it is a result of the illness they may possess. When the person is arrested and taken into custody, gets background checked and it is seen that they have a medical record that states they have some sort of mental illness the officers should take them to a mental health hospital instead of taking them to jail or prison. By placing them in a jail or prison it will make their mental illness worse due to the trauma they will experience while they stay there. As where if they are taken to a mental hospital it increases their chances of getting better and not getting arrested again. The people whom have a mental health issue and choose not to go and seek treatment put their life in danger as well as with the people they are surrounded with. • 13. Writing Is Easy By Steve Martin Summary The essay "Writing is Easy", by Steve Martin, is a hysterical essay that is comical in a way that I don't think the author intended. I think the essay is funny mainly because there is a part that is ironic for me that I can relate to. Although there is other parts in the essay that could be humorous as well, I couldn't get over one certain section of it. The funniest segment of the story is, "Go to an already published novel and find a sentence that you absolutely adore. Copy it down in your manuscript. Usually, that sentence will lead you to another sentence, and pretty soon your own ideas will start to flow. If they don't, copy down the next sentence in the novel. Explore how deviance and/or crime are presented in this text and relate your findings to the various sociological perspectives and theories studied in class. Choice of text: Easy A (2010 movie) Deviance is an unavoidable part of human nature, and as such, is a fascinating and essential social phenomenon to study. The film Easy A explores how a high school student turns to deviance in order to benefit in popularity and financially. A number of sociological theories are recognisable in this film. It demonstrates clearly the motivations behind how primary deviance leads to secondary deviance. The text raises the theories of...show more content... Although this isn 't her true personality, Olive feels validated – she has an identity. Therefore, social exclusion is a motivating factor for Olive to turn to deviance. However, she isn 't the only character to do so. Olive first lies about losing her virginity to her best friend, but the first real deviant act comes when she and her gay friend Brandon deceive the whole school. Olive quickly gains popularity when most of the student body witnesses, from the other side of the door, her having sex at a party with a boy from school. Little does everyone know that it is all a ruse to get them to think that Brandon, her fake sex partner, is not gay in hopes that this very public display of sexual activity will prevent daily beatings at school and it works! (Perry et al., 2011) Being an openly gay student in high school, Brandon is subjected to torment, discrimination and marginalisation. Consistent deviance often leads to marginalisation, and gender deviance is a prime example. Brandon was beat up at school and rejected by friends. Gay individuals have long been marginalised by not receiving equal rights by law, and are habitually marginalised by the general public due to homosexuality being considered gender deviance. Taywaditep 's (2001) study suggested that due to the marginalisation gay boys received throughout their childhood and adolescence, many began to appear more gender–conforming towards adulthood to avoid marginalisation. • 15. Success Is Not Always Come Easy Main Intro: It does not matter what your age is, where you come from, or where you are living right now. We all share something in common; the desire to be successful. The dictionary definition of success is "the favorable or prosperous termination of attempts or endeavors; the accomplishment of one's goals" (Dictionary.com). Some people define success as being happy, loving, faithful, wealthy, famous, and powerful. Even though success can be achieved by anyone, it does not always come easy. First, to become successful you have to be able to accept failure, and move on. Them you have put in the hard work to achieve greatness, not take the easy path. Finally having the courage to sacrifice things you love, will bring you one step closer to...show more content... To succeed, you have to be able to endure and overcome the challenges life throws at you, because, in the end, all of that hard work and suffering will pay off. Work 2: If individuals do not work hard to succeed, then success cannot be achieved. If we put hours or years into hard work, it will impress others, and show us that we can reach our goals. Michael Phelps, known as one of the greatest Olympic athletes of all time is the definition of hard work. He started swimming at the age of seven, and now every time he swims in a competitive race, he sets new world records that cannot be achieved by any old swimmer. Phelps trained almost every day of the year, and this did not only include swimming. Michael Phelps is a good representation of how hard work leads to success because he is now not only known as one of the greatest swimmers but the greatest Olympic athlete of all time. Work 3: Academic success is what every student wants, but is something not all students are prepared to work for. Most students believe that the successful people do not put any work into their academics. They think that the successful students are only gifted, and everything comes easy for them. That ideology is false because the most successful students put the most work in. It does not matter how intelligent one is, it matters how much effort you put into achieving your academic goals. Intelligent people are not born with everything stored inside their head. They receive Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Body positioning during meditation has practical and traditional roots. The posture assumed during meditation resembles the crossed leg position of the Buddha. Although there are many variations of posture and hand placement, they all attempt to create and emphasize the connection Get more content on HelpWriting.net
