2. We started this project by setting up a paper with two main ideas for the prompt:
Choose an animal that would make the best class pet. Now explain why that animal would
make a great class pet.
As you can see
beneath each
main idea are
two WSADK’s for
each of our two
anecdotes –
which are stories
that prove the
main idea.
3. Here’s an example of what those WSAK plans should look like, when you’re done you
should have four of these just like the following slide:

5. Next, we take each WSADK plan and, on the back of that same paper, write it out as a
paragraph starting with the main idea. When you’re done you should have two main ideas
each supported by two anecdotes like the following slide:

7. Finally, students will use a lined piece of paper to write out a focus statement, copy
down their two main ideas with anecdotes, and write a conclusion to finish out their
essay.
